I ate antelope in Africa several years back. I am not sure if it was the way it was prepared, or if it is always bad, but it was tough and lacked flavor.

Just stopped in the place for the 1st time. Had the chef recommended bison burger. Place gets my approval and I'll will be back to try all of the burgers. It will probably be my favorite burger place in the area, but more research will have to be done before crowing it the best burger.

I went today as well and had the Elk burger.

1. The service was terrible.
2. They only open upstairs at night b/c "the kitchen cannot keep up"
3. A burger, fries, and shake is NOT worth $22.

I will NOT be adding it to my list.

ETA: $40 for two people is ridiculous. The service sucked (although that's to be expected to a new place). And the layout, at least on the bottom level, is a disaster. The line builds up from slow service/not having a full menu listed, and there's only one narrow way in/out.

It IS pretty expensive. It was good, but not earth shatteringly great.

I went at about 11:30 and there was no line or service issue. I can totally understand what you are saying about the layout and I could see how it could turn into a cluster. As far as price goes, yes it's expensive but everything is expensive in today's world. I had a curbside burger earlier in the week and it was $9.50 for the classic cheese burger no fries. The basic cheese burger a charcoal's is $11 and comes with chips. So I don't think the pricing is off and charcoal's burger IMO is way better than curbside. Very fresh and juicy. Burger juice and cheese running down your arm is a good thing.

Doesn't seem like a hard thing to do. This is the burger I was served at Curbside on Friday.

Dripping blood before the first bite:

Ate around the edges, but otherwise disgusting and raw:

Ready for my close up Mr. DeMille:

Fries were good though. But I will never eat another burger there.

It's a good burger but I'll never crave one of their burgers.

I had the elk when I went. G/f had salmon. Mine was decent. Hers was a terrible excuse for a salmon burger. I ate at night in the upstairs, sat quickly with no issues, but did take a while for the food to come out. There was disproportionate amount of chips served between us. I had a ton, she had like 5. I like them though.

And honestly I thought the whole point of the paper menus was so you can check off everything you want(a la Phil's grill). Seemed kind of pointless and a order mess-up waiting to happen when you have so many choices

Went today around 11am to try and beat the rush. Building is very nice. Woman taking our order was very pleasant.

Here's what we ordered

Girlfriend got the turkey burger. It came with sprouts, jalapeños, onion, a pesto aioli type sauce, along with some sweet potato tots. All in all, it was a solid sandwich. I'm a big fan of all the aforementioned toppings, so that worked for me. The burger itself didnt stand out from any other turkey burger I've had. Tots were fries nicely and were on point.

I opted for their standard burger. At first I ordered it medium, but then thought about it and went medium well. Should've stuck w medium, because it was very dry. Like when you go to your neighbors house and he serves you a shitty dry burger that you grin and pretend to enjoy. It also had way too much mustard, which dominated the taste, as did the huge doughy bun. I couldn't really taste the burger. I decided to just eat the patty on one half after scraping the bun and mustard. The patty had good flavor despite the dryness. I got the onion rings and they were very good.

In summary, I felt the tots and onion rings were the stars. The turkey burger was the next best thing, and my standard burger really left me disappointed.

I forgot to add, chips came with it too. They were good. They were a mix a regular, sweet, and purple potatoes. Tasty.

$40 for lunch with burgers is a little steep---at least compared to other options.
