Antelope with wild board bacon on a bun sounds pretty intriguing/appetizing to me. I'm just a guy though, and I don't live der no more.

You forgot to mention the best one R2R.
Down the Hatch.
I'm not convinced the city pines for burgers like some other towns. Let's not forgot that once the sun goes down, that is one dangerous neighborhood. People will have to park on the River side of Mag on Jackson, (gambling with your life)

This place would do well on St. Charles but it's gonna be tough on magazine w/ NO parking. Especially for a restaurant of this size.

You never know, place could be the next NOLA hot spot where people line up out front and wait an hour just to eat.

What's the closest place to get a good burger near Magazine and Jackson? I don't think the "Burger spring" is quite as ubiquitous as some make it out to be.

Has Down The Hatch gotten infinitely better in the last 12 months? I used to live next door to them and over the course of a year or so had four burgers, all of which were unbelievable crap. Used to walk to Parasol's to get a burger instead of just going next door.

Yeah, this place sounds interdasting. I'll be trying it this weekend.

I'll give it a whirl. Sounds pretty good.
If it sucks, I'll come here and start a thread bitching about it. Then I'll feel better.

Perhaps. New management.

That couldn't possibly hurt. Thanks.

Get all 4 kinds of bacon and a fried egg and avocado and no meat and see what they do.

It isn't any better. Ate there Friday night because my buddy didn't have an ID and Half Moon was carding (WTF?)
Burgers took way too long, were burnt to a crisp and small.

I'll take a pic and say, "Gonna post this on Facebook."

They always cooked the hell out of them. Not dry, literally burned black in spots
Half Moon always cards during carnival when the local authorities step up their efforts to make sure bars are complying with the law. They don't seem to care much the rest of the year.

Add in a foursquare check-in and a #charcoal's tweet and you might get half off!!!!

I was just kidding around about Down the Hatch, I don't go down the street for it.

the menu looks interesting but, I can't see why a burger joint needs a building of that size
ETA: where is anti-Tom Fitzmorris aka Neauxla with the first day review? He tweeted that he was the first in line earlier
