The left wants to embrace cancel culture. So I will join in their game. Anyone who supports any leftist ideology will not get a cent from me if I can avoid it.

I never said he did.

It's just a bit of the pot calling the kettle black.

You can't.

At least not without considerable effort.

There is nothing of consequence left after Covid and latoya butchered the hospitality industry of the city. This guy’s place won’t survive much longer regardless of an attempt to “cancel” it

I also don’t think anyone with BLM and all that jazz posted in their window really care who they piss off. Think his response spoke to that

To this guy’s credit, he raised $11k for Cafe Hope in the name of Kenneth S, the guy who sent the email to him.

he's fricking arrogant. When you run a business you try to keep politics out and give the best service, what ever the product is, you can.

I’d just go enjoy some foie gras, some oysters, something off his meh wine list then leave an upper decker at the end of the night.

Best of both worlds.

quote:

I could be the poster child for white male privilege. My dad spent decades as a successful Wall Street executive. I grew up surrounded by wealth, immune to the struggles that people endure to make ends meet. My first foray into restaurant life, which was characterized by brutally hard work and low pay, burst that bubble quickly. But professional kitchens, under great management, can be true meritocracies where the quality of your work, not where you come from, determines the respect you receive. I felt a visceral attraction to this. Privilege had catalyzed my limited successes. I tried to hide my background. I needed to prove myself on my own. I wanted to become a beast.

I wouldn’t patronize just based off this paragraph alone. Not because of his politics but because he’s a huge douchebag.

While I get this, certainly COVID will be a thing of the past. He may never feel any financial impact related to this specific incident but it's just hard for me to figure out why people even make it a question or thought in people's minds?

A lot of these transplants like to interject their politics with their business. This guy, TaTW, Coutelier, Stein, off the top of my head

You won’t find many of the local players doing this type of shite

I don't support businesses that try to force me into religion or politics. Sports teams are OK, unless they have anything Bama.

The right is constantly bitching about cancel culture while simultaneously having a never ending list of things to boycott. Is anything left for you guys besides Walmart and a handful of shitty diners?

Do you know the difference between cancel culture and boycott?

let me help you. Cancel culture the person gets together with their mob friends and tries to shut a business down if they do not comply with their demands

Boycott, stop spending your hard earned cash with a business you don't agree with, whether it's policy, personal or politics.
