Wouldn't all that meat cause your cholesterol to skyrocket?
Recent research suggests that meat (more so saturated fats) has very little impact on your cholesterol numbers. Genetics and obesity are more to blame.

It’s very expensive but it will work.
It’s not for me, but again, I only eat eggs, onions, pickles, cheese, and ground beef. That’s less than $20 a week for me.
The feeling of being hungry feels “better” than being stuffed.

Ground beef is like $4/lb when it's cheap. You're eating only? 12oz of beef a day?

It’s $5.99 where I am. And yeah, 12 oz sounds about right.

We started just eating ground turkey patties daily and I feel amazing not eating lasagna pizza and all the other shite

I do meat, non-starchy vegetables, and fruit. Summer is a great time to be on this diet because grilling the meat adds so much flavor. Tonight I grilled tuna steaks with lemon pepper and fresh herbs.

Bruh, where do you live? The heat index is 103 at 9:30 pm. I grill less in the summer.

Middle Tennessee. Nice breeze this evening.

I’m a long time meat + fruit guy, and if you want to do it intelligently and not have a problematic first month, ease into it for 6wks.
Two Weeks - Carbs after lunch allowed
Two Weeks - Carbs only at dinner
Two Weeks - No carbs and not too much fat as you get used to digesting.
Just as important as easing into less and less carbs (and more and more protein and fat) is getting your body used to the fat load that’s right for you. This is why so many people get diarrhea early on.

That sounds smart, though I don't know that I will be able to deal with rationing carbs so to speak. I might be better just suffering through it.

So does carnivore diet include fish and chicken, or just red meat?

It includes meat and chicken, but it's going to be focused on red meat due to the fat content. I eat salmon and chicken thighs, but I eat way more steak and burgers than anything.

Ok, thx. Not sure if we could do this as a family, but maybe my husband and teen sons …

Costco steaks to do so
Grab some picanha (sirloin cap) and cut into steaks. Absolute best bang for your buck right now as last time I checked they were $7/lb for choice at Costco.

Then this isn’t a feasible eating plan for you.

Why not? Isn't the entire point to cut out carbs?
Posted on 6/20/22 at 8:42 am to EarlyCuyler3
I don’t ration carbs. Just went cold turkey. No idea what he’s talking about.

Did it for all of May, felt amazing

One week in, 7 pounds down. Mostly water I'm sure. I have been adding some tangerines once or twice a day but I think I'm going to go strictly carnivore from here on. No real problems at all. Some minor headaches and shite, but I'm digging it so far.
Posted on 7/14/22 at 4:09 pm to EarlyCuyler3
I'm told the headaches are from a lack of electrolytes. Try adding a little salt to your water.
I'm considering this diet. I'm researching meat based vegetables before I start.
