Well, Sawbriar's kickstarter campaign failed, only raising 11k of 25k goal. I'm not sure how much it set them back. They have a tough road ahead for sure. Lafayette isn't the best beer town in America.

Most of the people I know around here are BMC drinkers. Nothing wrong with that, but it is what it is.

Speaking of secondary local breweries, any idea how Southern Craft is doing? I don't see them around too much and haven't heard anything from them in a while.

The main lesson to be learned in all of this is... if you're trying to make money brewing beer, you have to sell what your consumers are buying.

This. There is a reason every other brewery in Louisiana has hopped onto the Hazy IPA game after seeing the success Parish has been having

I can't decide if you are from Pecan Island, New Iberia, or Lafayette.

So a melting pot for all 3.

Talk like the water boy, wearing tap out gear, while getting a fresh NI haircut. Got it.

think that statement is only true if you're a new startup going the old-fashioned distribution model. If you open up in an industrial area and only make old school styles, then you have a long road ahead of you. You need storefront on main street with beers like that. The supermarket shelves are full of basic styles done better by other people.

Right on. I see too many startups that really don't have adequate funding to start up correctly. Nobody wants to drive out of the way to an industrial park to get beer styles they can easily buy off the shelf.

It's all for sale from what I understand. They have very nice equipment

Ironically Parish is saying they are adding 3 new tanks in September to increase capacity. . Don't know if that is a coincidence or not.
