BR has opened door for microbreweries/distilleries & more tastings

How does a metro area of 700-800,000 people have one brewery? Lafayette has three, the Northshore has three, Shreveport has a few, etc.

Asheville and BR are not even close to comparable. The culture is night and day. That's not even close to a valid comparison. Even if you were to make BR ten times the size that it is, as long as legislation and the prevailing culture remains the same, you would not see some amazing craft beer renaissance. There is no place in LA like Asheville, and that's not me putting it on a pedestal. That's just being aware of fundamental differences.
