Am in Thibodeaux for work today. Is Bourgeois Meat worth stopping at? And what's good?

Jerky, Beef Sticks and Garlic Sausage. If you want to try something different, grab some crawfish boudin and boudin burritos.

Bourgeois makes boudin rouge (aka blood boudin). It's a traditional form of boudin incorporating pork blood that is not sold as widely as the white form. If you've never tried it, buy a little taste. Bourgeois doesn't make it every day.

Definitely the Jerky. Put it in the trunk or rear of your vehicle while traveling. That stuff is like crack!

At $30/lb, it better be like crack.

If that's what it costs, it's went way up. It used to be $19.00/lb and I thought that was high. It's good but I don't know if I will pay that for it.

Their sausage is very fatty. The jerky is decent but very salty.

I have a vendor who used to always bring jerky and those burritos. Both are awesome

If you've ever made your own jerky you can see how $30/lb is reasonable.
