40 years in business and closing it's doors , last day Th 6/29

based on my experience, food was good, affordable, and consistent. At one time, the only local pizza places were Deano's, Alesi's, Bisbanos, and BJ's.... the latter 2 are now RIP. Back in the late 80's to early 90's, BJ's had 40% off on Mon nights with $5 pitchers of draught beer. Today, there are probably 30+ places in Laffy that sell some kind of pizza. Like every other restaurant that has recently closed, I'm sure increased rent, high food costs, and decreased customers caused their demise. Pizza was sliced length wise as every bite was perfect.

I lived in Bayou Shadows during college at USL. Didn't blow one fateful night and BJ's was basically every meal for a month while I worked that out.

Can still smell the doughy aroma of the inside of that place....

Now this is a sentence that could get misconstrued...

Very depressing. Could not even estimate the number of times I ate there. Was one of the popular places in HS to get beers also. Used to be a video arcade right next door, I believe.

Bummer, sadly its one of those long standing Lafayette places from my childhood that I always just forget about as there's more/better options these days. We got pizza from there about a year ago and it was as I remembered, nothing mind blowing but a good solid pizza. I used to love going there as a kid and begging my parents for change for the arcade games while waiting on food.

Frequented that place in high school. I remember when the K&B was open next door. I recall the owner being a former employee at Johnny’s so that’s the reason for the long slices.

There are a few BJ’s pizza locations around Alexandria with the same exact logo and slogan. LINK

Is it owned by same guy?

BJ’s and Johnnys had a connection. There was a BJ’s in Covington in the 80’s.

Yea sucks. I went today and got there at 11. I got my full house and Peggie’s delight at 1 (2hr wait). Line was out the door a good bit of the time. Not doing any sandwiches or anything fried, at least not today. Had a lot of friends that worked there back in my usl days. Whole shifts would be my friends

Full House is a great pizza. Very fond memories eating their pizza. Especially going to my granfather's where we seemingly ordered it every Sunday night.

Anyone know if the business is for sale?
