Franchise for what? If you could open a Billy’s in the LC/Sulphur area, it would be worth a couple hundred thousand franchise fee

If you like Billy’s then you should try Kartchner's Grocery across the highway from Billy. I thinks it’s better.

Riverside in Plaquemine is also solid.

I agree. Cracklins too.

Not to imply Billy's is not good, not the case at all, but I find Kartchner's slightly better.

That said, when I find myself in Krotz Springs, I can't go wrong.

Except for speeding...

They recently opened a Bourque’s in Lafayette and I wasn’t impressed with the boudin

The bread is great though

The best was Johnson’s just outside Eunice, but I heard it closed down. So damn good

Ray's in opelousas is the best link boudin. Billy got the boudin ball game on lock though

Yup.

The smoked link is the best link in the 190 corridor and quite possibly the best link in the state/world.

They respawned in downtown Lafayette as Johnson’s Boucaniere. Definitely a great link and their sandwiches are on point too.

It’s okay, but a little too bland and too much rice. Texture is a little watery as well. It tastes a lot better grilled, smoked, or fresh out of the frying pan. Ronnie’s is my go-to in BR.

So many people miss out on the magnificence of Kartchner’s by driving right past it on the way to Billy’s. I usually stop at both. I was a huge fan of Billy’s boudin balls for years, but the jalapeño-cream cheese balls at Kartchner’s are even better.

I was disappointed in Kartchner's the two times I tried it. Found it a bit too bland.

I stopped in at Billy's in KS yesterday and in lieu of boudin, I got a large bacon cheeseburger. Excellent.

Just tried NuNus boudin. Pretty good, but don’t think it’s at the level of Billy’s. The boudin ball at NuNus was fantastic, while the boudin egg roll was equally as gross.

Eunice Poultry smells terrible right when you walk in the door. Their boudin is inedible.. so bad I spit it out in the first bite.

T-Boy's in Eunice or Mowata Store is 100 times better.

NuNu's chicken cracklins look legit, but I've never had them.
