Mansur's on the Boulevard and French Market Bistro have some pretty damn good ones, they are definitely different than Drago's though.

I love Mansur's. I didn't care for Acme's in Baton Rouge.

Most places that I've seen serve chargrilled preshuck a giant stack of trays and stick them in the fridge until ordered. I understand it probably doesn't matter, but for ~$20/doz I usually just pick something else for an app.

Drago's gets my vote. Acme seems to have more shells in theirs.

My friend heard a rumor they were closing, but it certainly seemed to me like they were packed on Sunday. Have you heard anything like that?

I heard a similar rumor around Christmas but nothing has come of it

I've always really liked it

Dragos by a mile

Only entrees I like are the stuffed lobster and stuffed softshell crab when they have it in season.
