Those are probably my favorite wings in Lafayette. Definitely different from other sauces, but good stuff.

Just tried wing fingers for the first time. I got the strawbernaro and loaded Mac. Very good

Yeah, when I read the menu I was thinking surely they don't just throw your wings into the mac and cheese but I guess I was wrong.

Strawbanero, Strange City, Bourbon BBQ, Peaches & Green (limited weekly special), and Korean BBQ (limited weekly special).

If you get strange city, just ask them to either go light on the mustard seeds or ask for some on the side. When I got it, they put way too much.

Strawbanero is my favorite, followed by peaches & green - but it was a one week thing.

Hot Honey, Strange City(good suggestion on less mustard seeds), and Strawbanero in that order are my favorites.

I live the next block over, I should eat there more than I do and I need to go try KOK soon. I’ve had their burgers at wingfingers a couple times when I wasn’t feeling wings and they aren’t half bad either.

The Central Wings at Central Pizza are pretty legit too, I had them a couple weeks ago.

Presentation is much much better when dining in. When I’ve gotten to go, they’ve separated the wings from the mac with foil or parchment or something.

I’d have to say that Wing Fingers and Kitchen On Klinton are both pretty good. I haven’t gotten a chance to try the wings at Central yet though. Smitty’s wings are good as well, but I prefer Wing Stop over them.

but 20 years ago it was a really good Chinese restaurant that had been there for a long long time.

Yuuup, Golden China had excellent food and was owned by Bob Lee. He later closed the business after his wife Linda passed away from cancer. Building was the Pilots Pub before changing to Smitty’s

Smitty’s is owned by Craig Smith who also owned Essie’s Lebanese restaurant in the Oil Center

Golden China

Thanks for that. I couldn't remember the name of the place for the life of me, although I had eaten there a few times.

They also rented out limos. Around 1985/86 we rented a limo for prom from them. Run DMC and 2 Live Crew cassettes saw lots of action that night in the back of that thing. Good times.
