Honestly, I haven't had any of the Vietnamese places and thought they were not good. I always liked to do Little Saigon when you had to drive out to the Sherwood area, but Saigon Noodles, Dang's, etc. are plenty good too.

These days, there's no need to make the drive. Bao is very good, and even Cafe Mimi downtown hits the spot pretty well.

I order vermicelli bowls at Viet places, so take the above as you will based on that.

I've had them all and the ones out there aren't worth the drive if you live by Bao

Best vermicelli in town is Cafe Mimi downtown. Owners are good people and I’ve yet to find a vermicelli I like better.

I think I’ve tried them all. Bao Vietnamese Kitchen stands out bigly. Everything I’ve had has been great.

So it sounds like there are quality options all over town. That’s great to hear.

It is my go to. Food is great, super clean, and 5 minutes from my house. I do not enjoy the pho nearly as much as the places on Florida. But I rarely want pho. Their sausage bahn mi and spring rolls is one of my favorite orders.

I really like Bao.

i’m not a huge Pho guy but I get their spring rolls (good) and bahn mi (bbq pork whihc is more of a cold cut situation) which I really like

Not BR, but close ... in Gonzales.

I really like Pho Viet (they are the same as Bao in BR).

Best Pho - Dang’s
Best vermicelli bowl - Cafe Mimi
Best banh mi - Tiger Pho
Overall - Tiger Pho

I may be swayed because the chef/owners have always been so generous when I dine in. One time they brought us a big bowl of beef bones full of marrow for our pho.
