Ruth Cris has a killer burger. It's expensive and not sure it is on the dinner menu but it is legit.

Dearman’s

I went Saturday and cannot for the life of me understand why Dearmans gets a pass when it comes to service at the very least.

The burgers are no where near the best in BR.

We were 1 of 3 tables so it was not busy at all. The young men just dont cut it when it comes to service. It should not have taken over 20 minutes to take our order. Our server apparently was the only one that knew how to make milk shakes... so why is he a waiter if he has to make the shakes

My SO told him no mayo. By the way, the menu says the burgers come with mayo and mustard.

Both burgers came with mayo and no mustard

I was aware to avoid going to Dearmans during the week for lunch unless you have an 1.5 for lunch. But for service to be that slow and cant even write down the orders right, come on man!!

I guess the old timers will support the classic BR joint but I dont think I will be back.

The drive to Port Allen is worth it when the bridge isn’t a shitshow. There’s Bergeron’s for their meat market, ribs special, and smoked boudin; couyan’s for brisket, and River Queen for burgers or their excellent oyster po’boy woth spicy mayo

Georges under the overpass is not a good burger period. always overcooked and dry.

George’s is good for what it is, but I can’t fathom walking past the merchant and order a burger at any place other than there. It’s consistently one of the best in town.... Londoner isn’t terrible either. I wear that bitch out for $5 burger nights....

I've been to all the George's. Their burgers are ok, but all of the George's are nasty shithole unclean dumps. I just don't think Smokie gives a rat's arse about them.

Ivar's when it's on special. It's not as good as the Merchant, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper and better than George's.
