I usually do but this year I have some serious situations that will be consuming all of my time.

My sister always cooks it using our late grandmothers recipe which is outstanding, but several years back something came up suddenly that didn’t allow her to make it.

So I picked up a pan from Tremontes on Jefferson and I remember it being decent enough, definitely don’t remember it being terrible.

Also have had Bellues a few times as a side with their plate lunch but haven’t eaten there in almost a decade because I don’t work in the area any longer, I remember it being decent as well.

There’s a local business called Ingle Eats run out of someone’s home that does pick up frozen foods year round. My parents buy stuff from them every now and then and when I’ve had it when I’m home, it’s always been good. I’d definitely see if they are doing a thanksgiving menu.

Here’s the website

If you have time now and freezer space, make it and freeze it.

A relative makes a huge batch at Thanksgiving and freezes part of it for Christmas. It heats up just fine.

I make it ahead of time and freeze it.

I'd try Don Bergeron's as suggested. He's got a Thanksgiving to go menu on his site.

Otis- this is why I asked!! I could make it soon and freeze. My mom and grandma have done this before in certain instances. Too much stress and not enough clear thinking. Now I have a plan. If it just doesn't happen, I have a lot of backup options. Thanks guys!!

Madam, I make mine early and freeze it every single year because I don't have time to do it right before the big day. Same with the sweet potato casserole, squash dressing and spinach madeline. All made ahead of time and frozen by my Mom and/or me. Works out great. The only stress is to remember to defrost it all and bake it.
