Jerry Lee's on Greenwell Springs Rd is the best around the Baton Rouge area.

I will be headed up to Shreveport Wednesday morning ! I’m sure all the drama with the sister in law will amp up tomorrow! Always does! Thanks for the feed back. If there is anywhere on 190 that jumps out let me know ! As of know leaning towards Ronnie’s - father in law just wants some to bring up to the hunting camp in Arkansas to share with the boys

Bergeron's is terrible.

Go to Benoit's in Addis. Best boudin in the BR area hands down

If you going 190 to Opelousas, do your dad a favor and stop at Billy’s in Opelousas. You can thank me later...and while you’re there, get yourself some gratons and a pepper jack boudin ball. C’est tres bon!

Hit Billy’s in Krotz springs it maybe faster, get the smoked. That’s what I do when I come down from Shreveport to BR. And if you really drop the ball, I got some in the freezer I’ll give you lol!!!

Poor recommendation n here for your trip down 190. Need to make 2 quick stops....

1st stop at Bourques’ in Port Barre, it’s a half mile north of 190 in a Supermarket..... plenty of other sausages and meats too - and jalapeño cheese bread, if that’s your thing. U can get cold Boudin at the meat counter in the back - just tell them how many lbs u want

2nd stop is Billy’s Texaco on 190 in Krotz Springs for Pepperjack Stuffed Boudin Balls. They have them hot on the counter and frozen in the cooler. Don’t be enticed by the crawfish balls.

I'm partial to bergeron's smoked boudin. It has a great flavor and some nice chunks of pork in the boudin. I've had Ronnie's and it was ok. Never had Jerry Lee's.

Benoit's in Addis is also very good. Prefer their stuff over Bergeron's.

And yeah, Billy's in Krotz Springs is really good.

Take 190 and hit Billy's in KS or Bourque's in Port Barre.

Just stay on I-10 to Scott then stop by the BestStop. Hop on I-49 straight to Shreveport might add 20 minutes to your trip.

BR? Ronnie's
In general: Billie's

Jerry Lee's has the best Hogs Head Cheese

Bergeron's has the best of everything that isn't boudin (tasso, chicken crackling, meat pies, ribs, etc), though their smoked boudin is pretty good.
