Inga's is an underrated sandwich shop in my humble opinion.

So good. Went there like every week in undergrad haha. Are they still open?

The one on Brightside is still open and going strong.

That's good to hear. I usually went to the one on Chimes. Looks like they are still open too. Guess I know where I am going for lunch tomorrow

Anthony's is da bomb. Ingas is also great. If you're downtown fayes is another great sammich shop. Haven't eaten eaten at any of them in ages, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

The Muff is by far the best in town, and nobody’s even coming close
Go get one from Cannatella grocery. It’s at least as good as Anthony’s IMO. Besides those two though, I agree with you that BR is a muff desert.

Anthony’s is a classic but I would say Jed’s and Cannatellas as far as the newer place. Jeds might have the best meatball poboy in town

American Market sandwiches are decent for what they cost, they don't deserve to be anywhere in a discussion of best sandwiches. People just love them because of nostalgia but everything about them is overrated.

It's a solid sandwich but I agree. I lived on their cajun turkey when I was at LSU. I think it was like $4.25 with chips and a drink back then. From a value standpoint it was hard to beat.

Little Saigon Banh Mi’s are the truth
My favorite overall sandwich spot is definitely Anthony’s though

Came in here to say Jed's. They are putting out some very good sandwiches.

I stopped going there for banh mi’s when they got rid of the combination banh mi, dangs is my go to.
Jeds and anthony’s are my favorite places for a sandwich.

If Anthony's stayed open until 8PM I'd be 40lbs heavier
