I always like Central deli. Finding a muffuletta that is heated is in my opinion not very good. What say you?

I like warmed and R&O’s is my favorite, but I haven’t sampled a lot of them. Their olive salad has a little kick.

Come Back Inn on West Metairie out by the Kenner/Metry line.

Get it toasted with olive salad on the side, then add it in per piece eaten.

Best muff I've ever put on my tongue.

Parasol's - better than their po boy, which I love.

In Monroe it's the Johnny's Pizza muff. No olive salad mix and just the right amount of mustard.

Central Grocery in NO
Bosco's in Mandeville

Watch out for the clowns who try to put mayo on them outside the N.O. Metro area.

Grew up in the 80's, several blocks from CBI. Seems like we ate their 2-3x's per week after ball practices and games. My goto was a roast beef po-boy with their thin sliced onion rings. RB was always full of gravy and delicious

It actually has olive salad mix. Or it's supposed to. But often they don't put much on the sandwich, especially compared to the mustard they feel compelled to put on it. It's really not a bad sandwich, but it's an abortion of a muffuletta.

A muffuletta with mustard or mayo, or without olive spread, is an American-Italian's idea of cratering to American's insistence to know how to improve something that doesn't need improving.

My wife goes to nice Italian restaurants and insists to the wait staff that they should offer "wheat" pasta as an alternative to real pasta. Uh, no. Just no.

Central Grocery for cold and Napolean House for heated are the only reasonable responses.
