Looking for a lunch recommendation for Lafayette tomorrow. No specific cuisine in mind just looking for local favorites. Thanks.

Except for too much salt and the fries suck.

Max's pool hall has one of the better burgers in town if you want very casual.

Poboys: Pops (Old Tyme is overrated. Unpopular opinion)
BBQ: Johnsons or Blanchards
Burgers: Twins or Judice Inn (no fries)
Authentic mexican: La papa loca (no habla ingles)
Cuban: Pepins (best cuban sandwich I've ever had)
Chinese: Hot Food express (bang bang shrimp)
Pizza: Deanos (The Parrain pizza)
ETA: Ive actually never had T Coons but have never heard a bad thing

If you feel like driving to Broussard, Shadetree is an excellent lunch spot and you can eat outdoors under the oaks.
Just call to make sure they’re serving lunch and not closed for a catering job.

Don't sleep on Chris's Poboys. Half a poboy (or whole one), and a cup of their chicken & sausage gumbo.
They make a delicious seafood gumbo as well, but I believe they only sell seafood version on Fridays.
