Poor Boy Llyods, hands Down. It is the best gumbo I have ever had. They have some good po-boys as well for all of you "Baton Rouge has terrible Po-Boys[hoagies et al] people".

My house. In 20 years I have yet to get a great gumbo in a BR restaurant. Hymel's is the closest one I am aware of.

I am a gumbo freak and order it frequently, if I get one that has acceptable flavor, it's served lukewarm.

Yes, I think my husband's gumbo is the best. My husband loves the gumbo at Roberto's.

Flat out, hands down, Government Street Jambalaya Shoppe. Andy puts 10x more heart and soul into his food than the owners of the rest of them. It's incredible.

If you go over to Springfield, near Hammond, there is a place called Charlie's that has the best gumbo EVER!

Jones Creek Cafe has a real good gumbo, and sometimes The Jambalaya Shoppe on Perkins makes a really good gumbo..They're not consistent though.

There is like four of them, but I think Government St. is the only one that makes gumbo.

Naw, cause I've gotten gumbo from the locations at Perkins, O'Neal, Downtown, and Old Hammond. It usually tastes a little different at each location. Never tried it at the Government one, so I might have to now.

Hey Andouille

Any chance of getting your gumbo recipe? I am looking for a good one. Thanks.
