quote:Let me ask you this: if said chop block were to occur, can you really BLAME the Gator who chops him, considering the venomous hatred he spewed towards Tim Tebow in his comments? That's what I thought.
If I were RJF, I'd definitely be watching for a good one or two chop blocks Sat. night.
quote:I hate it when stupid people speak.
He wants to hurt Tebow, not injure him. There is a big difference.

Ricky Jean Francois is a thug, nothing more, nothing less. And since he's from Haiti, has anyone even checked to see if he's in this country legally? I am ashamed that he is a member of our football team. And I'm mad at Miles for the hypocrisy of the whole thing: he'll dismiss Ryan Perriloux from the team for skipping some classes, but this Francois guy can mouth off about hurting another human being, viciously no less, and be allowed to be a starter? At this clip, what with the thug image, we'll be known as the new Miami in no time!

Surley you aren't referring to the classic adeptation of an awesome book by Tom Wolf?

You might wanna try the Ugly Dog Bar and Saloon. Of course, you may end up leaving early if Tebow and his receivers catch fire against our slightly inferior secondary.

There's no way we will catch Alabama. They are on fire this season, and their three road wins have been blowouts, and they play us this year in...Baton Rouge!

lbptiger, Saban is the greatest coach we've ever had, and likely ever WILL have, here at LSU!
An honest question about Saban...

...considering how quick we returned to national prominence, to this day I fail to understand why so many of our fans appear to hate the man. Look at what he did here! He won a share of the national championship in just his fourth year here! Considering that four years earlier we set a school record (Houston game) for consecutive losses, that is a quantum leap to have us in that position so quick. I hated when he left for Miami, but he didn't owe us anything else. And no, he didn't then, nor does he now, need ANY of y'all's approval to be the head coach at Alabama. Yes, it's weird seeing him on THEIR sideline, but I don't hate him for it! I'm grateful for what he did for us while he was here!

...to Florida, we will almost certainly beat South Carolina. I say this because the last four times we've lost to the Gators, we ended up winning the following week. Hopefully, we'll beat the hated Gators, but, even if we don't, a win over Carolina looks like a certainty.
Coach Miles...
Posted by lsuelvis on 10/6/08 at 11:26 am
...has there been a moment in his tenure where you truly hoped he'd be fired as our coach? For me it was last year after we lost to Kentucky, a team we beat 49-0 the year prior. 49-0, people! That is inexcusable; I don't care if we did go on and win the national championship. He lost a lot of cool points in my eyes that day in Lexington. ( A similar turnaround occurred in the Arizona State/Nebraska series, where, in 95, Nebraska beat the Sun Devils, 77-28. The following year, Arizona State won 19-0. By the end of the season, Tom Osborne, he of the 3 national championships, was voted out as coach.)
Are you stationed there?

quote:Scotty boy, I admit it wasn't an Academy Award type production, but I've definitely seen worse movies, three of which are the Dollmaker, Man Outside and the Right Stuff, which all co-starred that boy Levon Helm from Turkey Scratch, Arkansas. The boy should stick to playin' them drums, and leave movies to the professionals!
That movie sucks

...does anyone else remember this cool movie from 1990, co-starring my ex-wife Priscilla and my nemesis Wayne Newton?
re: Skyler Green

My most lasting memory of Skyler is not so much all the great plays he made for us, but a game in which he provided us with our only points on the day: our loss to Florida in Death Valley five years ago on CBS, a loss which prevented us from having a PERFECT season! Win that game, and we would have been THE national champions that season, as opposed to co-national champions with the hated Southern Cal Trojans!

...in the Sugar Bowl again, and obviously it's a BIG if, given that we still have two thirds of our season left to play, how many of y'all would be willing to buy tickets for yet another trip to New Orleans? Would you skip the game due to being tired of being in New Orleans for what would be the fifth postseason in eight years, or would you go anyway and support our Fighting Tigers?
Can our secondary rise...

...up to the challenge Saturday night against Tim Tebow and the Florida receivers? I ask this because in our previous two games, they've been shredded worse than Oliver North's Iran Contra files! I hope, and would like to believe, that the open date gave them more preparation time, but if they're not up to the task, Florida will hang 40 on us easily, much like they did there in 94, 96, and 00.
Is anyone else even aware that...
Posted by lsuelvis on 10/5/08 at 1:14 pm
...we have won twenty three consecutive games which ended in regulation, and didn't go into overtime? And if so, then are you also aware that our last loss in regulation was against, uh-oh...Florida in Gainesville, two years ago? I hope I'm wrong, I really do, but I have a bad feeling we will lose to the Gators Saturday night.
Jacob is a ROOKIE. What do you expect, him to just be given the starting job because he won a national championship his final year of college?
quote:That is correct. However, as you know, from that point on, Georgia managed a touchdown with the always important extra point, whereas we only managed two field goals from John Corbello, thus assuring our loss.
didn't both teams score td's on their first 3 possesions?
