Well that sucks.

I can't figure out whether I prefer stores that group beers by style or by brewer. I do know that I find it tremendously frustrating every time I go to Whole Foods and try to find a (relatively) obscure style of beer. The Whole Foods in BR carries at least five different goses, but good luck finding them all in any reasonable amount of time, and who knows if I missed any

I just noticed that my OP has three downvotes. Not that I mind, but I'm genuinely curious as to what norm or convention I've breached with my question

You didn't. Most likely someone upset they can't find a Gose light.

Turn your nose up a little higher next post. What a lame response.

The OP was asking about the best Gose around. Those two are not the best Gose style. They are ok beers but don't represent the Gose style as well as others do.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but you can probably find Destihl Wild Sour Series Here Gose Nothing around somewhere. I've seen it at multiple Whole Foods and multiple Rouses. That was the first sour beer I ever tried. They make a Flanders Red and a Berliner Weisse in the same series (and a couple of other variants).

Grimm doesn't exactly sit of the shelf, but we're gotten a couple of their goses that blow away the other options. Their goses are barrel-aged and heavily dry-hopped. Definitely grab if you ever see one.

I actually have a couple in my fridge. I like it, but I don't love it. It reminds me in a rather unpleasant way of what I remember Bud Light Lime tasting like. It could be entirely psychological based on a single flavor note, but I just couldn't kick the thought

I love Urban South in general. The Grapefruit IPA is one of my favorite beers right now. But the Lime Cucumber Gose tastes like Zima to me. And I am old enough to remember what Zima actually tasted like.

Except they're $12 for a 500ml bottle of a 4% beer. Not exactly what I'm looking for to drink by the pool or after cutting the grass. Not that their beers don't have their place, but still.

I'm digging this year's Gose with the Flow from Tin Roof. Abita's was just OK, but for the life of me, I can't understand why they put it in bottles instead of cans. I drank a lot of the Terrapin Watermelon Gose last summer. Haven't picked any up yet this year. Sierra Nevada Otra Vez is a nice thirst quencher. Haven't seen cans of it lately though.

For some reason this beer doesn't do it for me at all.

I had some of the Urban South Cucumber Lime fishing this weekend, and the only thing I had better was the Westbrook Key Lime Gose. The Anderson Valley versions are quite good as well.

That one is really good. They told me Saturday that it should last a while at the brewery, and they should have around 75 cases or so still for sale.

The Tinroof Gose is awful.... Tastes like a salt lick.
