Best chain fried chicken

We tried fried chicken from Popeyes, Church's, Chick-fil-A, and KFC to see who makes it the best.
KFC was the clear loser — their chicken was dry and their batter was bland.
Chick-fil-A came in third place because while we loved the batter's flavor and seasoning, but the chicken didn't taste as authentic because the chain doesn't offer meat on the bone.
Church's came in second place. The meat was juicy and tender, but its batter wasn't as flavorful as Popeyes, which came in first place.

That's pretty terrible reasoning. You go into it, knowing you are comparing it to places that serve chicken on the bone, yet still use that as a detractor for it. They start out behind without anything being tasted.

Not surprising. Popeyes is delicious. You just may not get the exact deliciousness you ordered.

Pretty much. If i'm craving a sammich, chick fil a spicy deluxe all day every day.

If I am craving chicken off the bone, popeye's spicy.

I have yet to have fried chicken, from a fast food place, or any jacked up fancy restaurant bird, that is better than Popeyes.

While Chick-fil-A was delicious, it tasted more like a chicken nugget than true, on-the-bone fried chicken.

That's cause it's literally a chicken nugget

That said, part of the size discrepancy stemmed from the fact that this chicken does not come on-the-bone, and appears to be ground up meat — essentially a glorified chicken nugget.

Who the frick wrote this article? Chikfila is clearly not ground up meat. This person is a complete idiot.

Clearly an idiot. Decides to compare chicken nuggets to a chicken breast. Complains when the chicken nugget is a chicken nugget.

i mean at least compare the sandwich or something.

I agree

And CFA and Popeyes aren’t in the same category as far as QSR is concerned

CFA cranks out boneless chicken and fries that takes 2-3 minutes to fry up, which allows their speed and service to excel

The reason people hate on Popeyes is the reason it’s so good it takes 15 min for a batch of chicken to fry, they are making their side items daily, baking 100s of biscuits a day, they don’t use huge chicken like churches bc it’s tough and tastes like arse. If the ever got their service together they’d be GOAT QSR
