Currently in Chicago sitting in Au Cheval contemplating the burger I just ate. It’s other worldly. Nothing I’ve had even comes close. God bless this place.

Edit: Sober me today agrees with drunk me from last night that it is a delicious burger. Best of the burgers I’ve had.

How many burgers across the country have you had?

I agree with you that it's a fantastic burger. One of the best I've had.

But because it's the best that you've had, is that a reason to call it the best? You're automatically discrediting everything you haven't had without, you know, actually trying them.

But still. Me on my first bite:

I’ve actually tried every single burger in America. This one is definitely the best. Trust me. I know from experience.

good to know that you're actually lacking

I oppose that term. But apparently you are lacking. That's okay.

Have you had the burger at Gotham Bar and Grill in NY?

And serious question: I haven’t been there before, so what makes it the best?

You need to stop reading Forbes if you are going to take their advice for food.

Au Cheval does prime beef, only 4oz. Cook it at a high temp until medium. Kraft cheese single. Toasted shiny buns from a local bakery. Homemade dijonaise and pickles. Anyone could easily recreate it and I’m sure people do. But I definitely agree that what they’re doing is the best way to do a burger.

I was unclear.

I meant “nope” for me.

Med rare.
Better cheese.

I’m sure I’d like it though cause I’m not picky. Haha!

Oh yeah, word.

Honestly even a bad burger is good to me. Even the shitty diner ones with iceberg and mealy tomatoes.

Rocky and Carlos burger made me question if I ever wanted to eat a burger again. It was terrible.

American cheese is the best cheese for a burger. It’s a proven fact.
