Costco typically has it.

Costco. Can usually get it in big 8-10lb pack for like $3 a lb or cut into 1.5 inch strips for $4 a lb. In the northern end of the Parish/Felicianas no one will sell it except in high priced small pre packaged portions.

Iverstine's quality is much better than the Costco pork belly. One of the main things I still go there for.

I get it from Hebert’s Specialty Meats in Prairieville. You have to ask for it though. It’s not out on display there.

I would like an explanation of why you think this please.

My opinion based on personal experiences with both. I'll buy Smithfield if I have to, but the products you see around here like the ribs from Costco are pretty bottom of the barrel quality wise.

Could any of you remember or possibly tell me what I can expect to pay or what is a good price? I checked with Herbert's and they said it would be $5.49 / lb and said theirs normally run around 12 pounds.

Restaurant depot has them for $2.50 per pound and they are temporarily open to the public

The Costco bellies don't have the skin, so just know that if you're planning to use to make cracklin/grattons
