Why would one travel far away just to eat food they can get back home?

Well there arent really any foods that are unique to Colorado. Its right by our condo and is one of the few doing indoor dining. It also had good reviews. Was thinking that or maybe just one of the burger joints close by.

I also noticed it was covered in lsu and saints decor which is a cool sight this far from home.

I make it a rule to never eat anywhere or anything outside of Louisiana that is labeled cajun, creole, blackended, "gumbo", "jambalaya" or anything connoting a South Louisiana flair.

Never eaten there.

Go to Empire Burger or the taco joint next door...both are very good (same owners).

Do not go. I lived in Fort Collins for a couple of years while in college. It’s highly rated because people in CO think that it is a representation of Cajun food.

It’s not bad food or anything, but it is far from anything Cajun. I used to go for Happy Hour only because I couldn’t find Abita beers anywhere else in the area.

They have one in Odessa that I’ve eaten at, as well as one that was in Rosenberg before it closed down. A few others in Texas still hanging around.

Don’t waste your money. It’s garbage. If you go on their website and read a news article written about them, the owner is cited as saying rotel is a key ingredient to any good gumbo.

Yeah basically this. I guess if you are stuck in Co and really want some sort of a fix then go ahead and go, but dontn think its like your grandmas cooking or anything.

It puts out edible food, but I'd find other places to go personally. I've only been to the one in Frisco. Breck has far better options.

What would you suggest ? I have an 11 and 13 yr old with me so we aren't looking for anything upscale.

Hit up downstairs at Eric’s!
They have an arcade while waiting
Not sure if it’s the same during covid though
I highly recommend the baked wings plus the prosciutto and arugula pizza

ETA: also please ski down Wirepatch for me on Peak 7
Love that run! Thanks lol

I think they do breakfast and lunch only. Their almond croissant is probably one of the best things I've had in Breck. Breakfast sandwiches are excellent as well.

South Ridge & Empire are the 2 better options if you're looking very immediate vicinity. Options open way up if you're driving. South Ridge was one of the better places I went in my extended stay there.

Wish I could ski some more. We did 4 days and yesterday was the last. Didn't make my way over to peak 7 but for sure will next time. Sucks bc I was finally starting to get better and comfortable on blues by the last day.
