They are dumps so no telling why.

I have one close to my house and early last summer they closed one afternoon because they were out of chicken.

Another evening not long after I read that the employees all just walked out one evening, locked the doors, and left people in the drive through line.

The one on Vets by Bonnabel is so awful it’s made me quit going to Popeyes altogether.

Hopefully it goes out of business.

Yep. I go once or twice a year and I can't stand the place. Other than our Mardi Gras day chicken, I can do without.

True story... I was in there a few years ago waiting in line and the old white woman who worked there forever comes walking towards the counter after her break was over. She's mumbling something about needing some iced tea or something, then she froze. Said out loud that she had to go take a dumb and walked quickly toward the restroom.

You can’t even drive in the right lane on vets anymore without all of a sudden being in a popeyes drive thru line

The other day I was on jefferson hwy and causeway and was shocked there was no line . Quickest popeyes experience I ever had and the order was 100% correct

It’s a Popeyes. Probably ran out of chicken. Or grease.

I heard biscuits and onion rings were being thrown bc the quality has gone down. the white meat and dark meat got in a fight and everyone scattered! This caused the separation of rice and beans. Sad situation.

That was one of the 2 we saw closed last night.

That is the only Popeyes I know that has 2 lanes for ordering.

Last night, the other one that was closed was the one on Transcontinental near West Esplanade. The one on Airline near Clearview had a line wrapped all the way around the store, causing gridlock, so we passed on that one.

Tonight, we still wanted Popeyes, so we stopped at the Jefferson Hwy location since it was open tonight. The board for ordering was blacked out. I went to order and the guy couldn't get the order right. I gave him the order 3 times. I asked him why they were closed last night. He paused for a good 30 seconds, then came back and said they were just closed. We passed on that one tonight. Got some chicken at the one in Elmwood though the line was long. Nobody wearing masks properly, lots of casual talking, little work being done, attitude when we asked for our receipt.

Well, I got the distinct impression he knew it was a sensitive question, he asked somebody who knew they couldn't give the real reason and that's why it was "just closed".

That crazy old lady creeps me out.

She used to work at the Wendy’s on Causeway by Lakeside Mall years ago.

Sadly, she’s probably the smartest employee at that Popeyes.

Went to the one on Carrollton and earheart Sunday after church. Computer system down, had to pull up to the window, she wrote the order, used a calculator, and took cash. Amazingly, order was correct.
