Was never really a fan of the hazy ipa. Really like the traditional ipa: hoppy and bitter.

Hazy IPAs are the only IPAs I really like. They wreak havoc on my insides unfortunately. I'd drink them a lot more if that wasn't the case

I was in New Orleans this past weekend. I picked up a 4-pack of Ghost because why not. It got me missing OG Ghost. The haze has never really been my thing. It just doesn't taste like "beer" to me. The softness throws it all off. I'll sound all beer hipsterish here, but I never got off the WC IPA train. If I have a choice between a NEIPA and WCIPA, I'm taking the WC 98% of the time.
That said, as someone who's traveled the world chasing beers, give me a good APA or Dunkel and I'm happy. I would say give me an Anchor Steam, but RIP.

Not a great selection of West Coast IPAs in the New Orleans Metro. I generally stick with Elysian Space Dust and Sierra Nevada Torpedo. I do like Dogfish Head 60 Minute too.

Two you can pretty much universally find are Dales Pale Ale and Bell's THA. Torpedo is usually available, too, but damn if I can't ever find it fresh.

I primarily continue to drink the NEIPA's but every now and then I'll drink a WCIPA.
A Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or a Bayou Tech LA31 Pale Ale is a welcomed change.

Been a while since I've tried anything new that was very interesting. Pretty much stick to Tropicalia, but I like this year's Celebration Ale a lot.

I’ve become tired of seeing so many on the shelves years ago. The whole “lactose” and “milkshake” IPA thing is worse, though.
Don’t get me wrong, hazy IPAs like Ghost and Heavy Hands are very good. But then every damn distributor started flooding the shelves with every half-asses brewed hazy IPA out there.
I drink a hell of a lot more St Arnold Art Car and Double Down and Eureka Heights MiniBawce than I do Ghost and Heavy Hands.
