Check Sugarfield Spirits for any food options
They recently opened the Grain Creations for beer and the winery/cider across street from Sugarfield Spirits

They have been having some food options available

Try Diversion Pizza but it is kind of out of the way
On Airline, hit Philay's

Mike Anderson’s, Sno’s, and Latil’s Landing (Houmas House) are your only options for nice restaurants in Gonzales.

I've never had anything that was worth remembering there. It's not good.

yeah, Sno's is almost right across the street and a lot better/nicer. The mgt at Sno's is better than i've seen anywhere else in AP.

like everywhere their prices have increased while the portions seem to have gotten smaller. but, the food is good. They have my favorite seafood gumbo

Depends on what you want, something quick? Sit down? Something close?

Around Sugarfield down 30 you have Mike Andersons (seafood) Walk-On's, Fiery Crab, LIT Pizza, Top Notch Daquiri (food is surprisingly good) Don's Seafood, MooYah, Pot and Paddle.... then you have a Potato Place closer along with a Chicken Salad Chick.

South of Philly is close, Casa Maria, Rouls Deli, Brewbachers, Aji an Asian place, Salt Light for sushi are all closer than Sno's or Phillays

Roberto's River Road Restaurant is only 15 min from Gonzales, and it is top-notch. It's worth the short drive.

Well like 20-30 minutes "short" drive but it is a fantastic restaurant

As others have mentioned, your best bet is likely Sno's Seafood. It's where the wife and I go when we want something on the nicer side but don't have a lot of time away from the kids. If you go I recommend the duck. Latil's Landing is several notches higher on the fine dining scale and is by reservation only. It's about a 10 minute drive from there to Sugarfield. If you decide on Latil's make sure to go early and get cocktails at the Turtle Bar, also on Houmas House's grounds.

It usually is top notch but I took my wife there last Friday evening and it was off. Wasn’t nearly as good as it usually is so they must’ve had a different or brand new chef. All I can think of.
