Dude posted PODNUH's BBQ as a representative of NLA good eats.
Figures ... same dude claimed there was no difference in smoking meats with pecan or hickory.
No wonder you like Podnuh's.

So now you're going to claim that South Louisiana is a BBQ mecca?
This is beyond absurd.
I'm still wondering what place in North LA seasons their crawfish on the OUTSIDE. I've never been there, but I have had crawfish seasoned on the OUTSIDE in Baton Rouge.

I grew up in Monroe and now live on the Northshore of Lake Ponchatrain. For some reason, this thread got me to craving Grandy's this morning.

The first place I had crawfish seasoned on the outside was at The Jungle in Ville Platte, years and years ago. That's how they're able to offer varying degrees of seasoning/heat. Is that place still open?

It's probably better that you did, especially if you were imbibing.

actually, I did imbibe Sat. night... i don't know if this took place that night or not...
My serious imbibing doesn't take place as frequently or ferevently as it once did..
