Because of my mobility issues, I haven’t been going out as much, and I haven’t yet been to Alon’s New place.

General thoughts about the place? I was crazy about Shaya, of course.

Exact same as Shaya.

They Bogart the smaller pitas even more.

Also, they charge a premium for being farther uptown.

What I am taking from reading the menu is that it's some expensive damn hummus.

Shaya is better imo

Saba has the second string dishes. Also was full of flies last time I went. It was packed tho

Went to Saba a few weeks ago with friends for brunch- it was fantastic! It is better than Shaya, IMO. Loved the cocktails and had great service. Do not go if you're on a budget- it will not be as fun. Order a little bit of everything and enjoy!

He has to pay for his utopian vision for pomegranate hospitality somehow. It’s an admirable vision but all that will just be passed on w higher prices for the customer. I haven’t been to Saba yet but really enjoy Shaya. I will def try it out

New pita isn't quite as good, more doughy and dense

I see it as a place to sit down for some cocktails and hummus. It’s still all about the PITA even though they are smaller now. If I’m looking for entrees my money can be spent better at other places.

I like this space better than his last although I would prefer Kenton’s still being there.

I liked it better than Shaya even though it’s extremely similar.

The new additions are better. The crab and corn hummus is unbelievable.

I thought it was great, really is a carbon copy of Shaya. Find a relatively cool night and sit on the patio with a bottle of white or rose and order all the small plates.

I heard it's really the same as Shaya, a little more expensive.

I passed Shaya and it still seems crowded.

I’m on my phone, so I’m not going to attempt a full review, but the lady and I went for lunch yesterday, and the corn and crab hummus was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while.

That roadwork right there cannot be helpful at all in the dead of summer.

I just moved in about 2 blocks from Saba. I've gone once so far and have not been to Shaya but my friend that joined me did. She said it is nearly identical to Shaya.

My thoughts, I loved most of what we had. The crab and corn hummus ($20) was delicious but a little pricey. The charred octopus was easily the most tender I have ever had. All in all, I will be back to try other items on the menu.
