Shade’s. Not as fancy as some of the places, but good food and service. The owner owns Pescado in Rosemary as well.

Pizza by the Sea.

Just drive down to the Hub. It’s great for young ones.

Ask all the people with 30A stickers in their cars around BR. That’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen

Faux elitism. 30A is nice and the bumper sticker was kitschy at first but now really really douchey

I often don't understand down votes on TD boards.

There are many good eats on 30A east (but crowded), but I prefer 30A mid and west. Red Bar @ Grayton, Blue Mabel @ Blue Mountain, Shunk Gulley and Perfect Pig @ Dune Allen (30A & 393).

I live in the area and generally stay away from 30A from Grayton toward the east.

Look on FB at Let's Talk 30A for recommendations for eats. Plenty of recommendations around Rosemary.

Cafe Thirty-A. I like the restaurant and the bar is one of my favorite hangouts.

People love to hate on 30A. There is a caricature of a person who only vacations at 30A, Disney, and Breckinridge (and has kids named Aiden and Jayden) and TD loves to shite on it.

That being said, everyone who vacations in 30A isn’t necessarily that person. I like to take a shorter trip there every year, but I’m far from the caricature that only goes there along with Disney and Breckinridge

My first trip to 30A was around 1982. It was closer to pristine, now it's chock full of McMansions and tourists. Seagrove, Grayton, and Blue Mountain were our favorite places. We explored the area on foot and enjoyed the dune lakes. Plus the white quartz sand and azure/emerald waters.

My first time in Destin was around 1975, when it was a village. It was the first time seeing the ocean (Gulf of Mexico), and it was the most beautiful site I had ever seen.

Topsail Hill Preserve is now what remains of the natural coast. The old 30A coast is spoiled, overbuilt, over promoted for tourism. I am profoundly struck by the beauty of the dunes, forests, white quartz sand, and azure/emerald waters every single time I walk to the beach at Topsail.
