Lease, per nola.com

Lakeview Harbor, after a nearly quarter century on Harrison Avenue, might soon move out of Lakeview.

The eatery's lease will not be renewed when it ends on Jan. 31. The news was announced on the restaurant's Facebook page.

The neighborhood restaurant, known for its hamburgers topped with shredded cheese in the style first created at Port of Call, has not found a new location. It hopes to remain in Lakeview.

This is a story about the quintessential New Orleans hamburger, which is not to say that it is the best hamburger (though it could certainly be among the finest) nor the most creative

"Lakeview is our home and we are committed to doing everything we can to stay here," read the announcement. "We promise the food you love will continue to be our passion and the place where we all gather will live on."

I don't see them keeping Bayou Burger open through the end of the year.

Seriously. I've been there twice, never eaten but for a beer, and it was empty. That's a huge space to not have even semi-full on the reg.

The owners from Andy's Bistro are taking over the space.

Kinda relevant to this thread, Cleo’s Mediterranean is taking over the closed down Cafe Giovanni space. Supposedly going to try tobe 24/7. Going to be a nice little late night spot in the quarters

They’re also opening a Cleo’s on Canal St

Bump

Caribbean Room is closing. That's a pretty big bust right there.

Yeah I'm pissed only a few blocks from my house. The talent level at happy hour was also worth a visit.

Never had anything bad on that menu.

Not to mention the price was astronomical. I can't imagine they were doing sustainable business.

I didn't when I went in. It was a middle of the week night though.

Caribbean Room has a cool set up -especially with the lil wayne portrait. I have had more ppl ask me about the lil wayne pic than the mile high pie or anything else about that hotel or the food. Pro tip for them:keep the restaurant where it is. Keep that area with the lil wayne pic where it is, let ppl order drinks and apps in that area.

Ignatius Eatery / Rue De La Course (Magazine Street)

Had a good run. They stopped selling food in the last couple years, a lot of real estate to pay for with just java.

No surprise there. I remember right after Katrina Ignatius was a hot commodity, but it quickly got passed over by tons of other places and fell to shite pretty quickly.
