I picked up from Pizza Nola once and I can't remember the Pizza at all, just how dirty it was on the inside and how damn slow they were.

It seems like the owner is blaming Don Phoung pulling the king cakes out of there for their own store distribution only as the reason they couldn't make. Definitely means they weren't doing very well with the pizza.

What will Bobby and Deke do on Sundays during the Fall now that Bayou Burger closed?

Screw square root. Hated eating there, gave it multiple chances to live up to the self-generated hype. Food was good, not great. Atmosphere (attitude) created by staff didn't help.

I'm wondering with all of the great restaurants in Nola, why would you eat there multiple times if you didn't like it?

The chef made a bold statement in the TP about wanting a Michelin star so i wanted to see what it was about.
1st time thought it was a one-off B-team kind of night, 2nd & 3rd time, friends want to go and I don't want to be difficult. That kind if thing. By then, everyone was laughing at the guy about the TP statement. Rude, stuck-up staff didnt do Lopez any favors either.

Really bold statement since they don't rate restaurants outside of 3 cities in the US.

Yeah, I'm not sure that Lopez ever said that. Almost any chef putting out Michelin Star-quality food would know that they only issue guides for a limited # of US cities.

As an aside, there are a few NO restaurants that are on the level of Michelin Star places. Not Quince or Daniel level, but several would get stars. It wasn't a completely outrageous claim (if Lopez did say it).

Petit Lion apparently went out without a roar. Lopez shut everything down.

I went there once for free, which is always the best way to go. Salesman.

The restaurant there now is owned by a friend. Galiano's. That's good food up in that bee-otch.
