Has anyone discussed the viability of these food hall deals?

It's been a while since I've done St. Roch, but checked out Auction House and Pythian recently. Both seemed to be rather sparse on customers. I get the concept I guess, but none of the stuff really seems like much of a value over a normal sit down restaurant.

How many of these places can NO support?

Lunch at St Roch seems pretty packed.

I don't think the stalls should be looked at as having long term staying power. More give them a chance to see what type of support they can do before moving on.

I just learned that Bubba Gump's had apparently still been open until it just closed.

Man would be awesome if a beer hall/food hall would open... Bunch of small batch breweries and essentially food trucks all together in AC

Sounds like a good way to lose money.

Is there anywhere like that in the country?

Figure each brewery is investing 100k or so to put their first drop out.

I think they typically thrive on the lunch crowd during the week, or that’s what I would imagine their clientele is. I ate at one in Chicago that was always poppin’ during the lunch hour.

Saw it closed Sunday night. Wasn't sure if that was normal.

Terrible service everytime I went.

Never made it there. If you haven't been to Echo's you should get over there. I really enjoyed it.

Pythian Market is always slammed for lunch during the week. The goal is getting the workers around that area to go which it is succeeding in.

Echo's is very good but no one is talking about it yet. It's going to take off once people get wind of it down on Banks St

The pizza was good, but the place is so small and the menu is small as well. I couldn’t imagine they have a lot of available seating on the weekends.

I've gone twice and sat outside both times. Went rather late, like 8;15. It wasn't bad. The outside area is pretty nice.

Love Echo. Fantastic little spot. May like the contorni more than the pizza. Outdoor space is great as well. Reminds me of Figaro in some ways on Maple Street way back in the day.
