Bought an Outdoor Gourmet single sack cooker.

Plan on adding:
Sausage
Corn
Lemons
Potatoes
Mushrooms

What intervals to add everything?

Add lemons when you add your seasoning

What potato's? I'm assuming the normal small red ones? A couple minutes before you add crawfish.

Add corn, mushrooms, and sausage right as you cut off the burner to soak.

Soak for 30 minutes or more

Everything will be cooked

When it comes to crawfish, 100 people will give you 100 recipes. No one boils them the same.

Boil 2
Soak 10

I would add limes and jalapenos

Potatoes take about 20 mins to cook. Many people boil the potatoes/corn/mushrooms separately.

Saskwatch & Marciano - Thank you both. Crawfish is too expensive to experiment with

More like 10-12 minutes before. I find almost everyone undercooks their potatoes in crawfish boil.

I put my potatoes in at the beginning when I’m doing all the seasoning. They always come out great.

This is the least risky, specially for a newb.

But they also come out the shittiest.

People over complicate. This isn’t hard.

Put your spice, celery, onions, garlic, citrus in, I put my potatoes in.

Bring to a boil, put in your crawfish and sausage (some put in sausage just for the soak not here) bring back to a boil. As soon as it’s back to a boil, cut off the fire. Spray outside of pot, add frozen corn and mushrooms. When crawfish sink to bottom, start testing them.

Some variations of that are fine. Don’t overcook the crawfish and make sure they soak enough to get flavor but not overcook. That’s honestly the only part anyone will notice or care about.

Bring water to roiling boil...add potatoes before you add seasoning, boil for 10 minutes, bring potatoes out, add seasoning mix really well, return potatoes along with onions and sausage boil for another 10 minutes, then add crawfish boil for 2-5 minutes depending on hardness...cut fire throw everything else in and soak for 30-40 minutes

I throw them in with the seasonings while the pot is heating up. Not sure why people complicate this. We have these threads daily every year.

Seasonings go in the water and not on the outside of crawfish.

Potatoes take 20 minutes so you can do vegetables before or during the crawfish. It doesnt matter.

Boil the bugs for 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, it does not matter. What matters is you tasting them while they soak to know when to pull them out.

Don't throw them in an ice chest and close the lid or you'll overcook them by steaming them.

My main tip is buy a nice wooden crawfish paddle. Make sure it's sturdy. You will need this when the inevitable jackass comes to tell you to dump them in the ice chest and dust them with tonys. Hit the SOB between the eyes with the paddle.

I boil all my vegetables first. Take them out then boil then boil my crawfish.

Potatos, onions, carrots, garlic, celery, and mushrooms first. Boil 10 minutes, then add corn and sausage and boil another 5 minutes. Take it out, put it in a big metal bowl. Remove onions and throw the onions in with crawfish.

Boil my crawfish, when they done boiling i add my lemon slices and put the bowl on top the crawfish while they soaking to keep them hot.

I use to boil my crawfish with my potatoes but it mushes them up. Also I cut my potatoes so they dont take as long to cook and they get more seasoning in them.

Completely unnecessary waste of time.
