Have 7th pick in 10 team full ppr. Years past I’ve always leaned RB early but after looking at pts the past few years in our league I’m leaning toward trying the zero or hero rb. Past few years top 20 players only five each year are RB. Really leaning toward WR and then Andrews as first two picks. Then RB third and then load up er after.

Any of you had success with zero rb?

I have had success with the Zero RB theory. WR, TE first 4 and then work RB. Get your QB late someone will be their rd 8

I think you have to wait to see who is there and take the best available when you're at number 7. I had 7 and a lot of the mocks I did I was able to get Henry or Cook. I don't see how you pass that up. That is unless you draft with a bunch of idiots and they let Jefferson fall to you.

I’ve had pretty decent success with zero RB. Not sure it works in 10-team leagues, I haven’t played one in a long time and teams are generally just stacked to high heavens.

Zero RB in general takes commitment, research, and luck. There’s always that itch to take a RB that goes against your strategy.

I didn’t go zero RB but if it helps, I just drafted from the same position on ESPN and ended up with:

Burrow
Cook
Swift
Lamb
Pittman
Kittle
Higgins

Edmonds
Bateman
Lance
Harris
Kmet

Haha... I was going with Swift in round 2 of all my mocks as well. Pretty damn solid pair of RBs there.

Obviously you want to take what the draft gives you, but generally speaking I'd recommend going RB in the first two rounds of a 10-teamer.

I have Swift in 4/4 leagues. The value was just too good this year IMO.

I did it in a dynasty league. I took chase at 3. I was in the 8/10 slot but traded my 1.8 and 2.2 for 1.3 and 3.3. I took Chase and Andrews then with my pick at 3.8 and 4.10 took Metcalf and Mclaurin. The Rbs went early and often so I went for it.

Ended up taking Cook first. Then Ceedee Lamb, Debo, Kyle Pitts, A St Brown and Jalen Hurts to start. Got Jk dobbins in 9th and Pollard. Also Matthison as backup to cook.

I have had the two worst seasons of my life going zero RB.

If your 1st pick is Kupp, Jefferson, Chase or Adams. I wouldn't do it for Diggs or Kelce if say Najee or Kamara are there.

You guys that shoehorn yourselves into drafting a certain position at a certain point in the draft are silly IMO

Go for whoever you think is going to score the most points. Select the most ‘sure thing’ you can get, and stop telling yourselves you HAVE TO get a certain position

It just doesn’t make sense

If Henry or Cook falls to you, I’d take them. If not, zero RB isn’t a bad idea though I’d stay open to a RB in round 2. I would not take a RB round 3 personally unless a 2nd round RB falls. Zero RB is extra beneficial if the base lineup is either 3 WR 1 flex or 2 WR 2 flex. If it’s only 2 WR 1 flex, zero RB is less viable

You could go something like this:
Chase
Andrew’s
DJ Moore (you’ll have options here)
Allen Robinson (lots of options here)
AJ Dillon or 4th WR
Hurts
Patterson
Rhamondre

Risky. I’m hedging against bad scenarios by not taking the same guys in every league. A freak injury and you’re hit hard in all of your leagues

For me, I don’t think entering a draft with the 0 rb philosophy is a smart approach. If the draft unfolds where this could be an option due to other positions available, then it has a better shot. But too hard to predict it will go your way prior to draft

This is reference to a typical redraft league.

I have. 2nd in my league two years ago, and won my league last year.

Of course there will always be exceptions, but for the most part top RBs get injured more than top WRs, and if you pay attention, you can grab top-15 or 20 RBs off the waiver wire throughout the season.

ETA: 12 team league

I don’t like zero rb. But my league is std scoring. Picked 5th this year and got CMC, swift, and zeke. WRs are usually suspect bit diontae and cooks feel pretty solid for me. Fdrafted Kyler in the 6th so I basically got another rb.

Fully get your point for first 3 round guys.. but there’s late round picks I’ve snagged everywhere.

NE Parker, for example. Mostly a gut feeling (which always work out.)

I do have Pitts 2 out of my 3 because I think there’s a decent shot at a #1 TE finish.
