I think the change is interesting. I personally liked streaming kickers/team Ds. I'd like to even think I was good at it. I think I like another flex better. Should be fun.

I'm not going to take a stance on the statement in general - only as it pertains to me. I don't do anything just b/c TBM wants to. In fact, I am usually trying to figure out what bullshite they are trying to pull.

I have no dog in this fight, but I get the argument against K, they're pointless in the grand scheme of things. I think streaming a D has a bit of strategy but I understand wanting to axe them.

I'm against the extra flex generally. I think it weakens the FA pool and alleviates the burden an owner often has of who to start, which is part of the fun IMO.

the player in the new flex would have been on your bench otherwise. So the FA pool is the same

I agree it does take some of the decision making out. But I'll counter that with it rewards the teams with a lot of good players the opportunity to play them all. I think that is more important, personally.

Yeah rosters will be 15 instead of 16 so it only weakens the pool for those fgts who drafted extra defensive teams and kickers.

The smaller the FA pool the better IMO. To me the draft is the focal part of the season if you blow the draft there shouldn't be a bunch of guys out there for you to pick up.

"best ball" fantasy football is becoming increasingly more popular

25 rd draft
no trades
no FA moves
point total for the week is optimal lineup

I wouldnt want every league to be like that, but it would be fun to play with a few smart owners and see who's preseason evals are the strongest

Extra defense is the way to go. I started stashing optimal match ups two weeks in advance.

I think that league would be boring as frick IMO. Set it and forget it for the rest of the season

yea, it would be fun if you play in multiple leagues and just did it to see how things turn out

I don't think this is warranted. I think everyone voted on what they preferred. Last year in TD:Auction I proposed changing passing TDs from 4 to 6. The vote was 6/6 and that ended it. You're in that league bro.

I know I made a bad impression my first week in this league, and I regret and apologized for it, but I know personally I'm no ones lackey and I doubt any of the other owners appreciate being labeled puppets. The vote was overwhelming in favor of the change.

The ideas being discussed aren't against anyone, they're being presented because someone thinks it can make the league better.

That's my whatever and I'll shut up.

I was going to add that and if you're trying to reduce variance it's the way to go.

Even so, as much as I hate seeing a guy crush it on my bench, that agony is part of the fun of it.

I had a league convert from team D to 2 IDP slots last year. IDP was pretty dope.

that would the way to go with that. Just don't resort to 1 DE, 1OLB, 2 ILB's, and 3 DB's.

you end up streaming most of the time week-to-week if you go overboard OBVIUOSLY.

it was awesome actually

I ended up scrapping IDP in one of our leagues, the pool was so deep, they were pretty much like kickers. Could go off, but for the most part they were about the same

i play an auction league that goes DL DL LB LB DB DB and i think 2 D-flex spots

it has a FA auction after every 4th week and no FA moves otherwise. you have to drop a player or not spend all $100 in the draft to make bids for FAs. basically the cap is always at $100, so even trades have to line up
