Yeah I am thinking if this passes, we vote to allow SP touchdowns to the player.

So you will allow points for return yardage also? You cant do one without the other.

Also are yall planning on increasing auction budgets also?

I won't do anything except vote, but you can def do one without the other if you wanted to.

I don't see why we would need to do that.

Sorry DJ, I don't get it either. return yardage and TD rewards aren't married and budget is a made up number. We could go with $100, $200, $180, $500, everyone has the same budget so no need to increase IMO.

My 2 next questions would be:
1. What is the 2nd Flex? I would vote no QB and leave it as RB/WR/TE for a 2-Flex league.
2. We're losing 2 starters (DEF/K) and replacing with 1 (Flex). So before it was 9s/7bench, now it's 8s/7bench. Do we modify bench? I see value in both 8s/7b and 8s/6b.

Were K/DEF tied together in that vote, or will there be a second vote to determine if we're removing K, Def, or both?

Should we eliminate the kicker / def positions and add 1 flex spot instead? Starters would be qb, rb, rb, wr, wr, te, flex, flex.

I believe they are tied in, mate

I love the progressiveness of this league. Top 6/bottom 6 is the best. Auction is the only way to play. Fractional points are obvious. PPR > standard.

Personally, I have been able to capitalize on kickers and especially defense over the years. I consider it a slight advantage for me.

Hell, I will probably end up liking the change. I just feel like there is a degree of predictability with defenses, and I have statistically outperformed the league average in it. I am entitled to my own thoughts, and I have never been a staunch proponent of sticking to the basics.

Can you yes? But it doesnt fit the agenda Gyno and LE are trying to push. Too quote them, touchdowns are a fluke. Its about the process. So a guy can have a return 99 yards and not score and it doesnt count for anything, but if he makes it that one extra yard then he gets the point total. My point is, its pointless to add this without adding both. Which I dont want to add either.

Yeah, it was funny. I just wanted to defend my own (lost) cause.

That was a very combative post. Is there a problem here?

Are you upset the league voted heavily in favor of abolishing the k/def? I don't see how that is an agenda

I could give two fricks if we use k/def or is the player gets return TDs. I'll go with whatever the league decides

I'm not trying to push any agenda. Look at the vote big dog. It's pretty overwhelming

I'd be in favor of adding return yards. In fact it makes a ton of sense if we are going to add a flex spot. Not a huge shift, but it will make a few more players worthwhile to plug into that spot.

And touch downs aren't a fluke, per se. I think you misunderstand that point.

It was you or LE, cant remember which one. Fairly certain it was you though.

No, Im saying I dont want special teams tds included for individual players. Either have everything or nothing.

I had a league convert from team D to 2 IDP slots last year. IDP was pretty dope.

It was being used to determine future projections for players. As in which 1 has a better chance for sustained success. Im just bringing it up in a different context.

League full of puppets. No offense dude, but you and Gyno are very influential in regards to things changing.

I am the one who proposed axing the kicker / defense spots. I have proposed almost all of the things that make this league different to your typical 'draft at buffalo wild wings' type of league. I haven't tried to sway anyone either way. I think most people in this league feel that kickers and def are there just because. A flex player, IMO, makes more sense.

i know, but if you want to use it in that context that is fine, but dont act like it is something i said.

This wasnt my idea daryl. It was brought up last season by others, and i support it.

half the people in the leagues dont even like me I dont have any influence. Ive been bitchign for years about how stupid that special teams TD rule is. Im actually shocked people are voting to change this Flex rule but they didnt want to change that TD rule.

I think you are referencing something I said about RB TDs being flukey sometimes, in reference to people trying to predict GL touches. Like people assuming Lendale White is going to score 15 TDs a year back in the day

The only influence I have is getting people to vote against something I propose just to spite me

I think this league is full of competitive fantasy footballers who are all capable of forming their own opinions

You seem pretty upset things didn't go your way
