So is Tony Pollard useless now if you don’t have Zeke?

I drafted him in the 14th round. Is he worth anything now that Zeke signed? I guess I’ll try and trade him to the Zeke owner? Maybe he gets 10 carries Sunday, looks good, then I can trade him?

Will be third down back and Zeke will likely get about 20 snaps. SO Id say keep him for at least week 1.

Even if I own Zeke I’m not giving you anything of value for pollard.

At this point all you can do is hold him in the hopes of a Zeke injury. Probably cutting him loose once other injuries start happening

Might he have a role in the offense? Possibly. Do you feel that offense is high octane enough to want a part time player in it ?

Drop. Only burning a hole in your roster now.

Yeah the role of "hey Zeke just had two long runs, he needs a play off."

Exactly, if I have Zeke I'll just wait patiently until the Pollard owner drops him. Which will happen eventually.

So let me get this straight.. you’re keeping pollard, for the potential he plays some 3rd downs for ONE game??

Join my league next year please

Did you not read for week 1?

Zeke will be on a snap count and its likely to be 20-25. Thats a lot of snaps for Pollard. Also with that snap count you have to think Pollard gets third downs.

You dont want me in your league baw.

Pollard is one of the best handcuffs in fantasy. Of course that has value

No one is going to give you anything for Pollard.

Drop him or hold him in case Zeke gets that holdout hammy, but he doesn’t have a role as long as Zeke is healthy. They didn’t pay Zeke 90 million to be a two down back.

that is kind of an absurd statement....He wasn't even really an actual running back in college and people expect him to be vaulted into a featured role if Zeke were to miss time? I mean he'd definitely have value but its still likely a platoon in that event, nice preseason but people got carried away with it. You likely don't cave to Zeke if you truly believe Pollard can handle that at a fraction of the cost. Handcuffing a back you don't own feels like wasted roster space.

I had a lot of Chubb last year but that was mostly because I thought his talent would eventually win out over the walking corpse Hyde, so that wasn't really a handcuff.

that report was flimsy at best considering it was followed by "unless he comes in as good of shape as reported" Speculation turned into a headline

Yeah I never planned to own Pollard, just fell that way because he went so cheap in our auction.

I’ll hold him a week or two until it’s clear Zeke is in game shape, then he’s a drop.

I own Ekeler more than any other player, but I don’t see him as a handcuff. He has a defined role in the offense and was RB25 in PPR last year.

I drafted him as a high ceiling RB if Gordon is out and a high floor flex even if Gordon showed up week 1.

Pollard isn’t that.

With Zeke's contract, Pollard is useless for the duration of his contract.

I have Zeke and I’m keeping Pollard just in case of injury. If you’re a non Zeke owner then it doesn’t make too much sense to keep him rostered now unless you can have a deep bench
