I honestly don't remember my first live draft, probably mid 90s, but I used to tear out and mail those sheets in from the Lindy's/Athlon magazines for many years where they would give you like ten different groups of players and you had to pick one player from each group.

Never won shite

First ever live draft championship was 2003, Priest Holmes

I started playing when The Advocate rolled out with it around 90'. You had to call a hotline to change out players.

My first actual draft was in 96 on ESPN. First pick was Steve Young. Selected him at 1.1. Won the ESPN league and got a shirt.

Brett Favre/Robert Brooks stack. 92ish.

Cody Carlson/Haywood Jeffries/ Gary Brown triple stack.

I think it was 2007. I think I missed the draft and auto-drafted. It was an eight-team league with high school teammates.

I could be totally wrong, but I believe I had auto-drafted Ronnie Brown in round 2 and dropped him shortly after the draft. I dropped him for rookie Adrian Peterson. I have no idea how he was undrafted, but this was clearly a low-quality league. I think I had Anquan Boldin on my team. Don't know why I remember that.

Somehow, I won the title that year. It taught me that fantasy is a crapshoot, and I learned a ton over the next year or two and then way more once I started using TD.

Sometime in the 90s, probably 95-96 as a co-owner.

Non-PPR league so RBs were the golden ticket. I don't remember who I drafted, but I went RB, RB, RB in the first 3 rounds.

In 1997 I went to my own team in that league and went 14-1-1. Tied W1 when Bledsoe threw 4 TDs for my opponent and went 14-1 the rest of way to the title.

Started in 2009, won it all my first year behind Chris Johnson. I got extremely lucky because halfway through the year I took a chance on Jamaal Charles, they pretty easily won me a championship. What's funny is I've barely won the league since

Started in 1996. First pick was probably Curtis Martin. I'd be hard pressed to prove it, but he was my guy.

It was fun. Keeping score by hand, not knowing if you'd actually won until mid-week. Lol. I'm sure my buddy still has the binder we used to keep up with everything. We started out as a 10 team league and over half of us are still playing in this league together.

2002.

Ricky Williams.

figured he would shred it since he left the Saints.

he did for that year anyway.

it was an IDP league but i still did good. Deuce was my RB2.

that league was on Yahoo and the settings weren't your typical PPR points. You'd get bonuses after a certain amount of yards from an offensive player. But the real steals is when one of your defenders got a pick 6 or something. 7 points for the INT and 6 more for the TD.
