What happened to all the states that said they would flip to popular vote?

Bit drunk but weren’t there about 5 states that said they would cast their electoral college votes for whoever won the popular vote.

They created a pact that will only take affect if they have enough votess for 270

That was only if some majority of other states passed the same bill. But I bet they’re keeping their mouths shut about that one.

I don’t think so. It’s up to the states on how they conduct their elections.

The Compact Clause is Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the United States Constitution. It states that no state can enter into an agreement or compact with another state or a foreign power without the consent of Congress.

It was terrible, wasn’t for it but it would have been great to see them have to cast their votes opposed to their democratically elected results.
