Exact wording from the Trump 1st 100 day contract

Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act
Fully repeals Obamacare and replaces it with Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines and lets states manage Medicaid funds. Reforms will also include cutting the red tape at the FDA: there are over 4,000 drugs awaiting approval, and we especially want to speed the approval of life-saving medications.

There were middle class folks that were financially wiped out because they were cut from their insurance coverage once they became seriously ill.
Being forced to purchase a policy with a $3,000 deductible doesn't help them either.

I don't think you'll find a person on this board that doesn't think real Insurance Reform is something that is not only needed but essential. Tort Reform and Open Marketplace would've been a huge start.
But Obamacare =/= Insurance Reform. And just about every single thing about it that the American People were told has been bullshite.

Pool those with existing conditions.
Liberals create a charity.
Liberals fund that charity.
That charity helps pay for the care of those in that pool.
Put your money where your mouth is if it's important to you. Start paying for all abortions with funds from liberal citizens.
You guys can do all this. I have faith in you.
ETA: Liberals take on all the Muslim refugees in your homes and support them. Put your money where your mouth is.

like some limitations on physician choice and the rates were not as low as promised.
Rates are high as eagle arse, the coverage is damn near non existent.
As soon as they realize they cant squeeze more juice, rationing of care is the only financial solution. That is right before govt run HC kicks in.
We just think it sucks now, these are the good old days compared to what we are staring at.

Screw you to put it nicely.
I pay into medicare via a tax.
I pay into medicaid via a tax.
Now my ins plan has gone up 21% due to the ACA.
I'm paid out.
I'm tired of working harder and taking home less so those that don't work at all get the same plan as I do.

quote:I am tired of people comparing the US to other 1st world countries when it comes to aspects like this....The infrastructure based on pure population of our country in comparison makes it impossible
The USA has the worst -healthcare system- among the developed nations
go look at Canadas Healthcare ranking compared to ours. It is essentially the same and yet we have 300 million more people
France? 270 million more people Italy? 275 million more people Switzerland? 310 million more people...should I go on?
The logistics, demographics, and infrastructure of the US and are like any other country and the world...and it's healthcare should not be like any other in the world

Just let them get the care they need and declare bankruptcy if it is that bad.
It should never get to that. It is insane how shitty out healthcare system is here.
Hospitals and Ambulances and all are bug business. Prices are inflated so they can charge insurance more. The whole thing sucks. It's a damn shame Roosevelt didn't start a single payer system during the WPA era. It's too late now.
Obamacare was kneecapped intentionally by the insurance companies.
The costs for basic insurance is just insane.

And You think you didn't pay for others' healthcare before?! Lmao. We've always paid for the healcare of others. Unless you get some kind of return on your unused premiums we don't know about.

Good, now get back to work. Pay your taxes! Get on with life.

You guys need to make up your minds on the first part. Explain how it was kneecapped. I work in the insurance industry and I may be able to help.
The costs for basic insurance is not insane. But, you can't buy basic insurance any longer.

It mandated that.....

..everyone be forced to buy a product they may not want, or have the IRS turned on them.

The good news is only a few people signed up for it anyway.

So you got coverage for some people with pre-existing conditions by increasing the rates to the point that many others couldn't afford coverage and were forced to both pay a fine AND go without insurance?
I guess that's liberal compassion for you.

Ding ding
I believe we should try the car insurance route of purchasing insurance first.
But ultimately I believe The only way to cut medical costs is a single payer system. The people who don't think they already pay for the healcare of others are sadly mistaken; inflated hospital/drug costs, premium costs, doctors visits all go to offset those without insurance and those who can't or won't pay. Don't be naive people!

I've read that, starting next year, you don't have that option. If you don't pick one, the government will pick one for you...and you WILL pay for it. Remember, the IRS is the enforcement force. The IRS has the power to simply deduct it from your bank account, or garnish your wages.
