He'll never even be the R nominee.

He doesn’t have 2 brain cells to rub together, but he’s such an iron clad lock no serious R candidate is bothering to run against him. In the general, the Ds have trotted out Doug Jones, who lost to Tubbs by > 20 points in the 2020 senate race. Even the few possible candidates they might otherwise field decided to sit it out.

The only way Tubbs isn’t the next Governor is if he somehow catches a felony conviction between now and next November or he dies or is otherwise medically incapacitated.

The silver lining is that at least he’s out of the Senate and Gov is term limited. As a senator, he’d have stayed in office forever embarrassing the state and raking in millions with his insider trading deals the whole time.

Huge missing part right now.

Opponents got film on Ty, figured out how to defend him, and the staff, him, or some combination of the two haven’t been able to successfully adjust.

Injuries haven’t helped either.

I'm interested to see if they can maintain this level without Pavia.

If they keep Jerry Kill on staff they’ll continue to be very successful. He’s the wizard behind the curtain.

Impressive to get a train/station in there.

The location OP mentioned is just a few miles down the road from Birmingham. It’s a very cool place if you like trains. They have several miles of track and do events like Santa, Easter Bunny, and Halloween pumpkin patch rides for kids every year. My daughter loved riding the train there when she was little.

I just don't get it.

It’s the next step to the end of college football for all but a few.

NIL, unrestricted transfers, and now a 105 scholarship roster mean the elite talent will concentrate at power programs.

The 12 team playoff will expand to at least 16, making it playoffs or bust for that same group. Bowls full of G5 teams won’t draw TV audiences or crowds so they’ll go away.

Money will dry up for all but those handful of programs so they’ll drop back to D3 or just drop football entirely. Initially the elites will say that’s fine, but over time it will impact them too. Once teams start being eliminated from the playoffs, it’ll be like an NFL or MLB stadium when the team is bad and they won’t be able to afford it either.

Nah not a banner, but you can print cups and T-shirts.

Agree with this. It’s the modern version of making a NY6 bowl.

Your hatred of Auburn is legendary, but this is beyond the line. The Golesh family fled Soviet Russia/Communism. You're pathetic, even for a bammer.

Lighten up Francis.

The Auburn board has it’s own thread dedicated to Soviet/Russian material. Some of the military parade ones are pretty good.

No, he’s claiming you’re ill informed, not too bright, or both.

He’s right.

Of course, us and Auburn to an extent get a bump from the fact that this does not include our home games at Legion Field, which for a large portion of our history included almost all of our difficult games.

According to Google, Bama is 101-38-12 in Legion Field. Some of those would've been considered Auburn home games, but when you add them all in the record becomes 430-92-15, which is still 80.07%

Not bad. Not bad at all.

One time when Bama was banned from post season, they scheduled an extra game in Hawaii.

Did it in 2002 and 2003. At that time there was (and may still be) a loophole that let teams who played @Hawaii have an extra regular season game. When Bama got the post-season ban, they scheduled the the games for the week after the Iron Bowl.

The reasoning given was that it was to be a reward to the players - and I'm sure they enjoyed the trip - but have no doubt it was a big double middle finger to the NCAA.

It's a little different than the Vandy situation though. They were scheduled months before the start of the 2002 season.
The most amazing thing about this entire thread is that it shows how despite being hooked up with the hot young stripper LSU is still obsessed with the ex that left them 20 years ago

Ole Miss is now acting like a scorned ex. It’s getting odd.

They’ve been broken up less than a month. LSU kept it up for 17 years.

We got in over FSU because their QB was out, not because of losses.

That's exactly my point. They're SUPPOSED to pick what they think are the best 12 teams and seed them accordingly. I don't find it hard at all to see them putting what would be the SEC champ ahead of the other SEC teams an idle Oregon.

on the basis of that abortion of a win over Auburn is BS.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you're a UF fan.

Saturday was the most comfortable Iron Bowl win in Auburn since Jake Coker was handing off to Derrick Henry.

Alabama's last 5 trips (including this one):

Loss
Loss
4OT win
4 and 31 miracle win
7 point win

With this season still TBD, those other four teams won a national title, played for two more, and won two SEC championship games.

Anybody who thinks Alabama isn't going to go into JHS and struggle hasn't been paying attention since 1989.

Why would possibly believe a 2 loss team will jump multiple 1 loss teams.

Well, for starters, this isn't the AP poll. Number of losses isn't the standard.

If it was, Bama wouldn't have gotten in over FSU a few years ago.

Even if we win the SEC we aren’t getting a bye week.

I think there's a chance Bama gets left out with a bad loss, but this I don't agree with at all.

If they beat UGA in the state of Georgia for the second time this year, they'll get the last bye.

It was a big deal in the pre-SECCG days because it got you the Sugar Bowl bid.

Now though, yeah. Ain't nobody got time for that.

No, just no.

The only poll that matters is the last one. Don't think for one second that a bad SECCG performance couldn't see Alabama left out. The only rule for the selection committee is that there are no rules.

Best thing to do is beat UGA and not have to worry about it.

Everyone says it’s the loss to FL that is keeping TX out…is that true?

So we're going to talk about those two games but completely ignore the mid-November skullfricking in Athens?

On the morning of 11/15, you were ranked 10th with complete control of your future.

Like Alabama did against Oklahoma last year, you screwed the pooch in November. THAT'S what is keeping you out.
