No I recall that. I had forgotten he had left Portland for Minny.
Anyway, the Schultz guy does work for ESPN as well. I doubt he has any sort of inside info on NOLA just seems like he's spitballing.

I mean...Vanterpool DID coach CJ and Dame for years and Dame has made many public comments in support of him.

It really wouldn't surprise me if Vanterpool is brought in to be the lead assistant and then SVG is gone after the season.

If we aren't gonna fire SVG, we should force him to hire a guy like Vanterpool as the lead assistant. That way, you can have the heir apparent for when you can him in the middle of next season.

Unless BI or Zion really puts his foot down and requests a trade if SVG stays, then Stan will be here to start the season.
If he gets fired mid-season, I assume Casey Hill or Theresa Weatherspoon will take over.

I don't think most fans realize how much of a possibility this is. The players praise her highly and regularly. We see clips of her working with players as much or more than any other coach (I'm sure that's due to her role). Pels twitter highlights her a lot. Their latest video is about her and Kira, who she's known since he was little because she coached his cousin at La Tech.

I don't know if she has the coaching chops to be an NBA head coach, but she seems to have a lot of leadership/motivational ability.
