All I’m hearing about is Florida’s TE and their pass rush. I really hope Grantham brings the house against this new offense. If they play man across the board, I look forward to seeing Thad Moss and Sullivan in one on one match ups against linebackers. I’m sure they’ll try to exploit Deculus with the speed of Zuniga but all we need to do is Chip him with the tight end and release.

I was thinking this morning that the TEs are going to be really valuable in this game. Hit them down the middle if they want to keep blitzing

I'm thinking that Moss had seriously "broke out" last game. He had his best CFB game ever last week. Here's to him exceeding that effort on a national stage Saturday night...

2TD’s
(One TD being a big play (over 25yds)

Being here in Gainesville, that is the story I hear from the Florida fans. The D line will destroy us and their TE's are going to have a field day.

Ready to be in BR already.

I think Florida will NOT bring the house very often. They will rush 3, 4 or 5. They will play a lot of zone. They will try to surprise Burrow by dropping their fourth and fifth rushers into the short inside throwing lanes, hoping for a cheap interception. They'll hope for Joe and the LSU coaches to get impatient and make a mistake downfield. If they don't get this they'll force LSU to dink and dunk to the red zone where they will start to blitz.

The formula is that they force a couple of interceptions with pressure and disguised zones, and they get a couple of turnovers with strip-sacks or by hitting the RB before he secures the football. Then they stop a couple of drives with sacks, and they only give up field goals when none of the above stops LSU. Score a couple of opportunistic TDs off LSU turnovers, and scratch out about 10 points with your offense,, and you have a 24-19ish victory.

How to beat this strategy? Joe has to protect the ball. Getting rid of the ball on time stops the sacks and most of the turnovers. Receivers and backs have to catch and secure the ball. No stupid pre-snap penalties. LSU 30 Florida 13!

This. He got meaningful targets for the first time in his college career and he made the most of it. Big man is gonna be good.

I expect big game for Moss and Sullivan too.

Initiall, I think Florida will want to see if they can create pressure with 4 guys. If it doesn’t work, they’ll have to add LB or safety to get pressure.

That opens up opportunities for Burrow and Tightends.

If they play man across then I want the ball going to Chase and Jefferson on the regular. Thad Moss and Sullivan are a change up but our WRs can beat every CB in the nation consistently in 1-v-1.

I think Florida will try to squat on those dink and dunk routes and bait Joe into a pick. The line has to give him time and he needs to be patient. If he gets time to get through a couple of reads...he'll carve them up.

you hit it, penrod. that's the game they play.

we need patience, but tbh, they can be beat on long plays. auburn had opportunities but nix couldn't make the throws. Throwin' Joe burrow will.

I expect to see a lot of action towards our TE and to the backs coming out of the backfield.

i'm sure we'll take what they give us and we'll catch them off guard when Joe or the OC upstairs sees it.
