Of course the coach plays a major role. KD very likely got hurt bc he was playing 45 minute a night vs Houston. Kevin’s body had likely never been through that. it was a measured risk to play him that many minutes. One they had to take Bc of the opponent. the best team they have played since Kerr has been there, according to Kerr himself.

It was funny the first couple of times but now its getting annoying seeing this response in every thread.

Kevin loves to hoop. you are right he shoulda watched them lose from the sidelines it woulda been great for his legacy to have them not win without him. but that’s not the kinda guy he is. he is all about hoop.

well, it’s true. When it becomes generally accepted I won’t have to remind people anymore.

It isn't Steve Kerr's job to protect an injured player. There are others employed specifically for that reason. Blame them.

It's on the Zach Lowe postgame mini pod. All saying that Kerr playing KD 12 of the first 14 minutes is a huge reason why he got hurt. Solid point IMO.

It really isn't. It looks like he ruptured the achilles. That isn't a buildup and overuse injury.

His achilles wasn't strong enough to take the calf firing. Fewer minutes weren't going to make his achilles stronger.

Do the JFK assassination. I bet you can somehow make that about CC as well

JFK was assassinated in the same state as CC.

LBJ is a native of the same state as CC.

World B. Free played for the Rockets. Many felt that the free world was threatened after the JFK assassination.

Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald. CC’s unis are Ruby Red.

There was a magic bullet in the JFK assassination. You can see magic shows and buy bullets in CC.

There's a joke about how Harden would have kicked his foot out to get a foul if the shot missed, but I feel bad about it.

RIP, JFK.

KD tried to do too much.

No reason a guy with a leg injury should be trying to one and one dribble drive someone.

KD got overconfident in his health and snap.

30yr old grown man/best player in the game comes to you as a coach in the NbA finals and says I’m a full go, start me. Doctors have cleared him. What do you expect him to do. Also anyone who has ever played with a foot/ankle/lower leg injury knows the more you sit the more it tightens up and the harder it is to keep playing. Kevin Durant is a 100 millionaire with NbA titles. It sucks he got hurt but let’s noy pretend this is the greatest tragedy of our times. I’m a thousandaire who ruptured an Achilles in a men’s league regular season game and had to go to work on a knee scooter. Nobody gave a shite and I didn’t cry about it. Sometimes ppl just get hurt, we don’t need a villain every time something bad happens to someone. If you want to blame anything blame Kevin Durant’s Achilles’ tendon.

How could any competitor sit out in that situation? He would second guess himself for the rest of his life if he thought he was close to being ready. I'm sure Durant looked at the risk reward and still took the risk.
Stop the blame game and respect his decision. It was probably worth the risk to snatch Lebron's crown while he's still playing and change the narrative. He was on a roll too, but the dice came up snake eyes.

The Warriors treated KD like shite while he was injured. Despicable.

Chuck Barkley roasted the Warriors as well. Let em burn.
