What are they hinting at here. People have long wanted to see the two connect, but unfortunately, no real public relationship. Man I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Yep, the performance leaves you wanting more. I don't see Sturgill having any collerbations on his albums anytime soon but maybe something in the future.

Watching this and Sturgill sounds like he has Downs... he's barely pronouncing the words and it's so awkward

Stapleton, Sturgill, and Isbell all have the Dave Cobb connection. I could totally see a collaboration at some point. Would be so badass.
Really enjoyed the performances tonight.

The Sturgis shine is starting to wear off. Probably from being a dumb libtard. Am I right fellas?

No....he doesn’t have the range to sing that song. He should have just played guitar.....which his riffs seemed forced too.
Really I just don’t like this version of this song. The steeldrivers >>>>>>solo Stapleton

Just watched the clips.. not familiar with Stapleton's music at all...
Did not like the first song at all.. The second one was better... He's not really my cup of tea, I guess..
I liked Sturgill's playing and his singing sounds like it always does to me... I like his style..

Throw in lake street dive (Cobb connection) for a mini fest and you can have all my money

Sturgill’s singing has definitely become weirder and harder to understand in the past few years. Even comparing renditions of the same songs the differences are big.
He’s almost become a character of himself.

Sturgill has even said that while hes got his next two albums planned out and that he knows Chris and Jason have their own plans for their solo careers.
But once its all said and done then he would like to make an album with them.
Highway Men reborn would be so badass

Seems to me like he's simply taken a more soulful approach to his vocals rather than focusing on enunciating every syllable properly. And im cool with it. Dude could sing craigslist ads in italian and id still listen

Sturgill is probably my favorite right now, and he just transcends any genre. He conveys his emotions and moods so openly and so well, through his lyrics and his guitar-whether good, bad, angry, contemplative, somber...whatever-he's just got such a transparency, honesty, and vulnerability about him that his craft needs. The dude is what a musician should be.

YES! I thought i was only one who thought this. He has Carl mouth from Slingblade.
He mumbles his words and barely moves his mouth. He looks weird as shite

Watching these man bun millenial "country" singers makes me wish Florida Georgia line would go up there and show them what real country is!
