They really have nothing original about them. Dunno why some are so salty about it

They are nice for what they are, a novelty type of band. Nothing innovative here. Enjoyable to listen to and fun just not original

Considering the current state of bro country, dull pattern nonbro/roots/Texas country, thousands of similarly obscure "mix guitar and macbooks" bands and the ubiquitous R&B/pop scene, a really great LZ ripoff is pretty fricking original, actually.

This. It's like the new Bruno Mars stuff. It's nothing groundbreaking or original, just a new take on stuff that's already been done. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's still fun to listen to.

So much this!

Seriously, you count the number of tracks played on 92.3 not from 15 or more years ago that feature actual f$&king guitars and drums on one hand, and they’re all by bands that were popular 20 years ago. All of this synth pop being pushed as rock makes my blood boil. Greta Van Fleet is a breath of fresh air in a stale genre.

Of course it’s better than bro country and shite like that. I think they are fun to listen to, but they aren’t original. It’s not really a knock on them.

For example; Sturgill Simpson has obvious similarities to old school country artists, but he’s put his own spin on it combining psychedelic rock and other genres. No one really compares to him in country. GVF isn’t anything I haven’t heard before, and no matter what anyone says, it’s absoltely a LZ ripoff. I like them, just calling it what it is.

Kingdom Come got blasted for being clones of LZ in the late 80’s. Apparently most of you would really like them!

Hopefully GVF will silence all the critics who decry a lack of originality

They've released a cover of Adele's rolling in the deep

Yes they did, and they disappeared into obscurity very quickly. Just like GVF will be a fuzzy memory in a year or so. Kudos to the band for being mentioned in the same sentence as Led Zep, but only novelty acts like 21 Pilots fire up today's youngsters.

This whiny copy cat is just noise ... Too many people think they're awesome and don't know enough about LZ ...

This. They were on Fallon's show a few weeks ago....garbage. The lead singer tries to do some little flamboyant poses while on stage and it really comes across as fake.

They're selling out shows and getting massive crowds at festivals and still have yet to drop a full album. Despite Zeplin fanboys opinions these guys will be around for a while

Friend introduced them to me last week. Wow! Great original music by band members ages 18,18,21,and 21. Mix Zep, Black Crows, Aerosmith, a little Rush, and maybe a hint of Alice In Chains. Lead vocals off the charts good. Playing at One Eyed Jacks 10/12/17. Don't think they'll be playing in such a small venue a year from now!

My buddy told me he loved them and I should give them a try. If the guys from Led Zeppelin die, these guys can go ahead and take their show on the road. I dont know if I've ever heard a non cover band sound so close to another band. I like LZ ok buy im not a fan of this, it's just too similar.

just because you named a lot of other shitty music doesn't make this band any more original...

Fallon Show

that shite is a joke. It's just an act, the singer is TRYING to sing like that, like an impression.

Billy Squire started his career trying to be Robert Plant. Just listen to “Lonely is the Night”. Nathaiel Ratcliff sounds just like Blood, Sweat, and Tears just with simpler horn parts. 21 Pilots sounds just like later Weezer just with more programed beats and better production value.
