On Monday, Payton spoke with reporters and was asked about Wilson having a personal coach with full access to the Broncos facility, and he seemed taken aback by that, noting “that’s not going to take place here” anymore.

Payton’s face when the reporter notes this was a thing is incredible, as he seems incredulous that someone would allow personal coaches that were separate from the team personnel in the building.

As his life coach I expect all doors to remain open to me, regardless of what this new Head Coach says.

One of Sean’s first moves in New Orleans was cutting Wayne Gandy because he had a recliner in front of his locker.

Then 10 years later they are bringing in light shows and dj equipment to dance around the lockerroom.

Yea because that’s the same thing as having a recliner at your locker lol

Didn’t something like this happen in New England with Brady and his personal trainer? And wasn’t that a factor in TB’s disenchantment with the Patriots?

Not really surprised given some of the stories from when he took over the Saints.

LT Wayne Gandy had a recliner in the locker room. Payton removed that pretty much immediately to set the tone.

I don't think that's really setting the tone

That's like removing Adam Schiff from the Intelligence Committee, it's common sense

Alex Guerrera had free rein for a few years. Was on the field, at practice, always somewhere in the building etc.

He even opened a TB12 store in Gillette around the same time. But he reportedly started trying to tell other players that they shouldn’t lift weights, shouldn’t eat this or that, and they should come to TB12. Then I think the final straw was a few patriot players missed rehab sessions to go to TB12 and belicheck banned him from team facilities. And yeah I think they were already a little salty with each other but that added on, but still went on fine for a few years after that

Wilson might turn into Ben Simmons by the time Payton is done with him
Broncos should have never made that deal
Now Payton is all but stuck with him, let's see if he can make it work

I suspect this will have an opposite from intended effect on Wilson.
