It was a great run no question. Also, they seem like an interesting and kind person although the whole thing still weirds me out.
However part of libertarianism is being okay with people doing weird shite that isn’t hurting others. Just keep sports based on biology and no elective hormones/surgery under 18.

minus the children watching Jeopardy, who see a biological man with a mental disorder dressed as a woman celebrated for doing so.

Well the hard ones was likely worth more right? So how can you rig jeopardy?
Hell, one of the recent DD's they fed it was to guess the country's anthem and it was the lyrics to "O Canada." I know Canada is easy to shite on but I bet most Americans could've got that one.
If you're gonna rig it you pitch softballs to the one you want to win and hope they knock it into the parking lot, and curveballs to screw up all the others.

Ive been very unimpressed by the competition they have put up against her. Not saying Amy isn't smart. Just the contestants that have opposed her have been underwhelming. Haven’t seen a competitive match against her.
Aren't you the slightest bit ashamed you are playing along with this lunacy?

TV executives like to virtue signal and dive deep into cash, with it they hit the daily double.
If anyone wants to believe how staged these game shows can be watch the movie Twenty-One about game show cheating in the 1950’s where they were giving the contestants answers. I would be willing to say some form of cheating in TV game shows still happens, and you have producers that have to pick token contestants to fit a certain mold.
With the February ratings period coming up, if the numbers were coming in low, it was time for it to take a dive.

The run was undoubtedly stacked with mediocre at best challengers.
The contestants are lined up more than a month prior to taping. Neither the producers nor anyone else can predict that far out who will win any particular taping. A month of shows is taped in a week. Great runs over weeks on the show actually happen in two or three days in the studio. By the time the taping starts it’s too late to go out and find weak competition. They just can’t “stack” the competition like that.

I'm happy she lost. Not because she is a tranny. Not because it was getting bored seeing the same shite every episode. Solely because I was tired of hearing about it because of her choice to be a woman. Why couldn't they just let her win and not glorify her mental disorder? No one would have said a word. It's her choice to be a woman. Great. Leave it out of her winning and jeopardy.

No, I get what he is saying. People are hating on all trannies, but if its a low key tranny that isn't letting everyone know they are trans or not flipping out because someone gets their pronoun wrong, etc there isn't a reason to hate on that person.
Do those exist, though? Generally speaking, the need for acceptance that drove them to these extreme measures is the same fuel that drives them to be flamboyant and outspoken about the whole thing.

I was on in 2013; taped in April, show was on in July. Not sure if things have changed since Trebek's death or with covid, or if something might have been lost in translation from your relative, but it was a little different back then:
Back in 2013 (and as far as I know, until Trebek left the show) they did tape a week's worth of shows in a day (5 episodes) but they only taped TWO days a week. Trebek only worked 46 days a year: A Day in the Life of Alex Trebek
Jeopardy! Production Schedule
I wasn't on until the last episode taped that day (the Friday episode). All of the contestants for the week didn't watch from "backstage" (which is really the green room behind the audience seating), but were in the studio audience seats (in our own little section) watching the game LIVE.
When I taped we DID have two 'alternates' for the taping day, but both were contestants from the immediate LA area and know in advance that they are alternates and will likely not be taping that day unless someone did not show, or got sick or was struck with stage fright. I actually sat with and talked to one of the alternates during the taping of the 1st four shows on my day, and he told me that's how they did it. I later saw both alternates on the show the following season (I taped the last day of the week on the last day of the season 2012-2013).

A couple of the contestants don’t get called for the five taped in a single day so they get to go back to the hotel and think about what they watched and come back for the next day’s taping.

Wild that Amy and Matt were so close with 38/40 win streaks.

But, it does affect you when they threaten your livelihood and your job if you don’t play along and pretend that this mentally disturbed f*cking dude is a chick.
